Abbas is not only one of the best directors of the 90's but one of the best of all time.

Kiarostami was one of the best directors of the 90's.  he made four brilliant movies(Close up, Through The Olive Trees, Taste Of Cherry, and The Wind Will Carry Us). Can't say i'm as excited about his work since 'Ten' though, unfortunately, but his films are always interesting, which is more than what can be said for most.

Awesome Abbas Kiarostami is among the only few good directors today.I call him the modern day Satyajit Ray or Akira Kurasawa he is outstanding.

You're probably one of the new generation Western people, no patience to look beneath the surface. Kiarostami is perhaps the greatest film making artist alive today, with Satyajit Ray's death he is hands down the best in Asia. Don't try to watch it again, you'll never like it.
