If you watch closely he is using all right hand. He lays his first finger accross the strings(where the 24th fret would be) and picks with his ring finger creating the harmonics.

Eh, the Candyrat guys never really caught on with me.  I got into listening to the music of Alex de Grassi, Michael Hedges, Martin Simpson first, Erik came along a lot later but he's got the groove. Check out Andrew Gorny, too!

the candyrat guys are all really good but i think the group as a whole received so much hype. i remember being a freshman in college when drifting came out on youtube and everyone guitarist in the school was hooked on candyrat tunes.

i find erik awesome because his style is different from and of the candyrats and i really feel like he's cultivated a unique style that doesn't seem to be too influenced by others. i guess what i'm trying to say is that he's original.

Thanks for the response! No doubt the Candyrat artists have done some cool things with solo acoustic guitar, it's just, for one reason or another, not my cup of tea.

I note that Erik has a unique style, too. In a way, it seems like he's almost playing ambient music in a solo setting, but it's more intense and dramatic than the usual modern acoustic style.

the sharpness sounds like part effect, but that guitar is very unique. Its much larger than even a grand auditorium and made of solid graphite, eliminating the need for structure wood giving it a much more full sound.

Yes, it is an amazing guitar for sure. The graphite body even has an urutherane(spelling?) finish instead of a normal clearcoat. I'M curious though why the graphite looks like carbon fiber. Never the less.

To believe that the sound is coming only from the guitar in this video is just ridiculous IMO.
