you can say what you want about refs not getting any help but from my own experience and from situations like this they are mostly stubborn and incredibly inconsistent. A lot of the time they have zero knowledge of the rules eg. at corner kicks when players are ripping the shirts off eachother. They do themselves no favours whatsoever.

The Referee got the decision 100% correct. - For all you whinging un-educated tosspots, read the Laws of the Game for once before opening your over opinionated gob! - The Laws of the Game state the player MUST be sent off, it even directly mentions spectator/invasions and the sanctioning of players if they interviene! - Learn the rules next time. Once cards come out regularly for little reason, the referee has lost control. The referee on this occasion has brought the game into disrepute himself. I know of referees with dreadful attitudes towards the players and the game in general who are being promoted.

Basically the game is being ruined by the FA and FIFA anyway.

There are some decent refs at the lowest level. People who played and know about football and have common sense.

The ones who get to a the semi pro/pro levels are jumped up idiots who get a hard-on from carding players and don`t actually know a lot about the game.

Even the best refs with good intentions make mistakes due to the speed of the game. This referee acts like a guy who knows he is pissing the whole world off before and after.

First of all I think the security guards were incompetent. Their job is to capture the guy as quickly as possible. With their pace he could have kept going a long time. However, the brutality in the tackle from the player is not something you want to see and I think that justifies a sending off.
