I don't understand how "being lazy" can even come in to typing. Is it that hard to press the shift key? It isn't lazy to use their instead of they're or there. Is it that hard to use the apostrophe key? It's => it is. "Its" is possessive. We're => we are. "Were" is not the same. It really isn't that hard. Everyone makes mistakes once in a while but if people don't make an effort then the English language will have devolved into mere grunts and text-speak within the next few hundred years.
