I've often killed Heavies meleeing with my Sandman. It's so f*cking easy, just NEVER, NEEEVVEEER try to circle them or charge at them. Skilled melee'ers can easily use side-stabbing methods to kill you. Stick to jumping around like an ass and you'll win.
