she is my biggest inspiration and I am a guy. You see alot of the great primas nowa days being the "best ballerinas", but I would not call them the best dancers. I love sylvie. I love her diversity, and how she dances what she feels and goes beyond the coreography that makes me as a veiwer inspired. I want to be like her.

This is, more often than not, the case with most professional choreographers. Those who dont have training have to pull from something deeper than years of training and knowledge. There is something real raw about untrained creators.

Isn't it? It's the Swedish ensemble Flaskkvartetten (Flesh Quartet) off of an older album, Parlor Fran Svin. The song, itself, is actually called 'Wet Woman'.

A more correct translation would be "The Pork Quartet", and "Pärlor Från Svin" means "Pearls From Pigs".

But I agree, the music is exquisite and the dancing... I can't explain why, but I always start to cry when that hand grabs her dress.

How many more contemporary dances are going to be made about the anguish of the white woman? Choreographically it felt like over emotional gesture, followed by jump around, oh and make sure you throw your leg up really high every minute. I am unimpressed. Guiellem is surely and extra ordinary flexible and strong mover, but I would hardly call this a lasting impression on contemporary dance.

thanks for the comments...this actually was a piece that was shown in a "South Bank Show" on Bravo back in I think 1993 or 94. The piece is a lot longer, but nonetheless incredible to watch. All dancers have a lot to learn from this remarkable woman.
