  • 184-bit opperating system

  • Hit the what key?

  • do u no computers? i need help with windows xp so i'v been clicking random vids off ppl who look like they no computers. do u? if u do, i have a black screen problem on winsXP.

  • @danieldvs100 Alright, whats the problem?

  • @jamesrschultz well, installed a win7 tradnformation pack, and 5 days after i installed it i could log on to xp. when the screen loads, it justbgoes black. or if u don't no the answer to that, i'v got another problem. 2day i installed vista ultimate completely deleting XP, wich is fine but my internet went with it. my ethernet cord doesn't even show up when i plug it in...what do u recomend so i can get internet again?

  • @danieldvs100 Ugh, this is why I hate Windows. Get a Mac, everything just works. Sorry, I have no idea. Good luck.

  • @danieldvs100 I reckon you have wired internet, if so, and you're getting this problem, it is probably because the jacks in the laptop aren't, well, long enough to connect to your ethernet cable. My suggestion, is that you take it to a techinician and get them to check if there is anything wrong with the jacks. And with your windows xp problem, it probably could have happened beause windows hasnt registered the new version, and therefore doesn't have anything to show, there are no codes in etc.

  • @TFBlobby you have it all wrong my friend. your looking at the situation wrong. but thanks for the advice, its over with now tho.

  • @danieldvs100 Oh well =).

  • @TFBlobby lol, your attitude about things is hilarious. merry Christmas eve

  • @danieldvs100 It weren't me who wrote that, its my bro >.> i dont comment on vids..:P

  • i done this and slowed up my computer to shit and i lost the maximum mmory amount what is the max?

  • mine is at 896

  • where u get the battery meter gadget?

  • When you click the plus to add gadgets it's in the bottom link at that window, just search for battery meter or gauge.

  • I just got my vista updated to play civilizations 4- it works now yay, but now the internet is superslow. It wont even load images im searching for a school project! Videos play slow too! Do you have any ideas of whats wrong or what I can do? I havnt messed with anything since I got my pc and it worked great until I got windows updates

  • Hmm. reboot... try a different browser (like google chrome or Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer.) Or, unplug your router for a few minutes, and then plug it back on so it resets.

  • oh, thx. it works now :)

  • You got something wrong: Where you select the number of processors to use at startup. That's actually a debugging option to use when you have a multicore. Vista already uses dual core or quadcore (if you have it) as default...why wouldn't it? it would be stupid from microsoft to disable such option. Anyway just pointing that out.

  • Thanks, I read that somewhere and assumed it was just another stupid Microsoft trick. Thank you!

  • will it change anything if you selected 2

  • If you have a quad core and you think one of the cores is failing you just select 2 so it only uses 2 (on startup only) that way you can pinpoint a problem.

  • Wait so will increasing the number of processor vista boots with shorten the life of my processors? I'm running a notebook so this is important pls answer!

  • No, it will not shorten the life of your processor.

  • Did you know that

windows aero uses more processor power. Slower

Windows Classic uses less processor power. Faster

  • but my next jump would be from 1 to 2,not 1 to 1.33?

  • Are you upgrading your physical processor, or over clocking it. Never over clock a processor, it ruins it. And, you really cannot upgrade easily, it takes a lot of knowledge about your mother board and processor to do that.

  • changing processors from 1 to 2...will it have anything negative side effects?

    like overheating, or something?

  • You mean overheating? Yeah, it will shorten the life of your processor, make it real hot, and use a lot of power. 1 to 2 is too much, but 1 to 1.33 would be okay.

  • Thanks! mine boots up now at 28 seconds.

  • this this sped up my boot time a bit THANKS!

  • thanks dude.

  • thanks it helped but is there more that could help if so you should make another vid about it

    over all i rate 5/5

  • Thanks. I can't really think of anything else that's going to help much more. Just get rid of un needed services and programs in startup.

  • thanks man

  • thanx this helped =Þ
