  • This was produced by Noddy Holder and Jimmy Lea from Slade , keeping it in the family , as far as Marc's memory is concerned. Girlschool also did "Tiger Feet " by Mud and " I'm The Leader of The Gang" , with Gary Glitter , but , we won't go there....I know I briefly glimpsed Madam X up there...They were from Dallas. I was friends with their manager. They had a two girl - two guy lineup , still unique at the time.

  • are they girlfriends to the members of motorhead?

  • @shaneinkster

Just good friends and touring partners!

  • this sounds like its more influenced by rock n roll, i dont think this is punk. fucken 80s stylee.

  • '80 music is the best !

  • There's someone here who is absolutely mistaken. L7 were sort of like an animal instinct reacting when some fucking creep tries to kiss our mother. I went to their shows a bunch of times. I lived in Chicago for years but now I'm in L.A (the worst thing I've ever experience). The Runaways were sort of cool, but L7 is like a machine gun, you know. They make you jump on the stage and jump right off again hundreds of times. They're preetty much better than The Runaways.

  • nice cover :D

  • R.I.P. Kelly.

    One HOT rock chick!

  • I am a huge T.Rex fan so I had to give this a listen. It is not the worst T.Rex cover but it is not the best either.

  • Girlschool were a better verson of the Runaways.

  • I think Girlschool could play there instruments better, but I think the Runaways had better songs and sounded rougher.

  • Runaways were 1,000 times better than L7...hahaha

  • Perhaps they were not. L7 just got tired of their fast and furious sound and decided to change things up for their new songs. Ha! I like that. If The Runaways had half of their grunge power Joan Jett was blessed with. This is perfect fits to their other releases since some tracks seems to be identical. ;)

  • I agree with some portions of your comment but I really feel this song deserves a ten. Name another album in the past twenty years that was as powerful as this record on a mainstream level. All the songs are great. Girslchool was the artist of the 80s.

  • When it comes to all female bands, the Lunachicks were by far the greatest. Live, they just tore it up. Incredible.

  • Musically, I've never been that impressed with the Lunachicks and I really dislike their songs. Not only the lyrics, but their music is the worst example of punk star whining I've ever heard. However, L7 has great songs that broke them into pieces and that's what makes difference for me.

  • I tend to disagree. They were fucking incredible! I saw L7 many times and was never impressed. I even have the first album, that was only played one time.

  • Ha! Im not convinced. I guess some comparisons could lead to a fight. L7 is one of the top punk rock bands of the world. They were the only one was able to find a way between metal, punk and classic rock. The rest of the bands on the mainstream (Lunachicks, 7YearBitch, The Breeders) arent that impressive. XD

  • Oh no. Lunachicks had such raw energy, and sounded great. L7 were boring as fuck. Like I said, I had seen both bands several times. Lunachicks were never mainstream ,although L7 did have a video on MTV. The greatest all female band ever...the Dishrags.

  • The Runaways were better than a lot of stuff.

  • Can anyone remember a band called jezebel? I think their first (and maybe only?) album was called Ain't no lady.

  • It rings a bell, but I can't claim any real knowledge on the band.

  • ANN BOLEYN!!!! mighty hails!

  • nice cover :D

  • Yeah, Marc Bolan would've loved this!!!

  • i just can't stop...

  • What, no Poison Dollys?

  • Though they were in 90's, to me L7 are in top 5 greatest female bands...in a music way...

    The best rifs...and all that..

    :)
