  • A very feminine double-bass section!

  • meh, the best part of zarathustra is das tanzlied.

  • I agree

  • 1st of all, I don´t watch TV, play video games, etc. It´s a waste of valuable time. I spend my time making music on a guitar.

but what you really need to ask is why? Why Kanye? Why Metallica? Why Radiohead? Why R. Strauss? Why do people choose the music they do?

Until you can answer that then you don't understand music and it's complexity. I believe you like classical because it's the pinnicale of beauty in music. I like 'indie' (hate the term) because it's the pinnicale of expression.

  • wow... your make me ashamed to have been a supporter of anything conservative.

Discrimination, labeling groups, is cool only with your friends. You can´t classify all 'young people' as liking West. And as a facist rightist, you fail to realize what music is!!!

It's aobut expression. Good music is about good composition, etc. But maybe some people CAN'T relate to what classical music is trying to convey?? Maybe they want to connect with Kanye, or Metallica??

  • i love this.

Would you tink I was silly if i said this first piece of music makes me want to buy myself a set of REALLY BIG drums?

  • I think it might affect a lot of people that way! It really is a very stirring piece!

  • You remind me of my dad lol

  • That comment was for Palinmaniac.

  • I agree with Palinmaniac.Kids these days do not know what is good.I think that the school and also parents should introduce classical music in a child's life. That way maybe the child wouldn't listen to very loud and violent music.

  • You are right cdelya. Schools don't give enough attention to preserving classical music and introducing young people to it.

  • I enjoyed listening to this music. Thanks again for showing us the finer things in life that we are missing.

  • I love the classics. Thank you for making this video. Bravo!

  • Palinmaniac-I alomost laughed, and I haven't done much of that lately, well since this election, because it is sadly true.

  • I´m keeping it real

  • I never said the music wasn´t good. I just think my music is more... ´musical´, more emotional.

But remember, kids, music is subjective. I´m always right and your always right.

  • Okay, I´m graduating next year....

I didn´t mean to infer that classic don´t take time to write (even rap takes a pen and paper). And music has nothing to do with the real world. It´s compeletly different and has different rules, physics doesn´t apply, etc.

    Like I said: robot.

  • FYI, I listen to music that takes time to compose, utilizes skill instead of showing it off and that conveys emotions. I listen to music that harmonizes all the instuments together to produce a nice sound.

Classical does this, but, in my opinion and for the reasons previously stated, not to the extent that certain rock does (indie rock if you will).

  • I'm very peculiar about my music... classical (or whatever this is) seems a bit robotic and vague to me.

Everyone's sitting down, reading the music off a sheet and playing it exactly how it's supposed to be played. Just can't get past that....

So, good luck with the rest of the series OGG.

  • Wow! And R. Strauss is only #10?

This music acted as a nice background while I did my online rounds, and insulated my spirit from the depressing aspects of the news I was busy reading.

    Looking forward to #9.

    =^[.]^=

  • I agree the sound quality is not as good as it could be, but I had to work with what could find. I guess I could have taken the music directly off CDs and then matched them with visuals, but that would have taken too much time when I preferred to work on the next countdown videos.

  • enjoyable listening on an afternoon thanks grumpy 5*

  • I love it!

  • Grump-I played this for my 23yr old son, who's been deliberately LISTENING to class'l music W/O mumsy's whining to,for a few yrs now..I do not lie.

BTW,I erred grievously in my last missive-I realized you DO rate a non-idolatrous,yet burnt offering-today we have Yankee Candle Co's pumpkin spice,peach/sweet berries, and a lovely cherry pie scent at present..they can be lit for a few moments,a gesture acknowedging ye western civ rescue/review.. w/bayberry+other yuletide wafts next time. Kudo's!

  • Nice! Thanx!
