The carrier landings were all wrong in this game. A plane is supposed to lower it's flaps and slow down so that it will lose alititude while it's nose isn't pointing down. But it was kind of funny.
I used to play Top Gun: Fire At Will PC version, Janes Fighter's Anthology, JetFighter 3, and a few others when I was a kid. I think I'm going to replay them all soon.

mode7 or not the graphics looks awesome duo it,s hich color pallet,the colors looks so real unlike manny snes games,also the sound s are great!!!!!!!!!!!
this game was a good challenge and the graphics were sooo well done! It really gave you an idea of of speed, and flying an aircraft. I used to make sure I had plenty of AIM 54's so I could hit the enemies at longest range possible.

Before I actually bought this game when I was little, a neighbor and I always borrowed each other's games, since we had the same SNES system, and had a lot of fun with the games we shared.
I miss those days. I agree that this is a great game.
battletank, turn and burn, jungle and desert strike are such great games for snes, wish they were downloadable for nintendo wii

@FalconKPD Yeah, it's weird, this game looks like the same F-14 game I played on GBA couple of years ago...exactly the same cut scenes and graphics.

judging by the avionics, I think that's the A version of F-14.
Doesn't matter if it's A,B, or D version of F-14, cuz it's still a legendary fighter.
I like this game and other flight combat sim that can use F-14.

The background shows the sky in day, sunset, and night. It does the same in Super Battle Tank 1 & 2.

They remade this twice (as F-14 Tomcat on GBA and F-24 Steath Fighter on DS) and this version still shits on the others.
