@xmdude626 how can it? this device is put over the machines. Even if there was a way to offer better protection, i doubt people would invest much more money in a better machine. The banks machines are unhackable, but there are so many atm's that it is not worth purchasing a more expensive one for your store

Read your bank statements! If you see transactions you did not make, chances are the ATM you used has a skimmer. You should also change your PIN frequently.

Good reporting. Tubers - be aware new style keyboard overlays make the old technique of cameras looking to capture your pin unnecessary. Also, smaller skimming devices are difficult to detect.

You should inspect all ATM's closely before using.

Someone told me this.

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse. For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.

Only use this in an emergancy.

Oh, and those swipe machines at stores are utterly dangerous. If you try to cover your pin, your hand often hits the pad and will mis-enter your pin. I always cover my pin, and I don't bother to use the ATM feature at stores. They have no reason to protect my info, so long as they aren't punished for leaking it out.
