  • i see no reason to hate you .your form is good,technique is good-the strength is there.remember-strength doesnt know color,dace,creed,sexual preference,height,weight,age,c­ountry of origin.real strength athletes just dont give a damn.good job.

  • meh. you'd do better if you didn't pull with your biceps so much before the hip thrust. if you watch your form in slow-mo, you'll see that the arms are bent before thrust. too cocky for your skill level.

  • I love how people are criticizing the form and technique of one of the best American lifters around. People have been doing these lifts for a long time. I think if they were dangerous or harmful to a person's back they would not be in OLYMPIC competition. Telling Derrick Johnson to work on his form is like me giving Bill Gates business advise. And I would LOVE to see this sport in the mainstream.

I'm fascinated by the weights you guys do.. could you be able to tell me what rep range would be for a good beginner workout for Olympica lifting? I'm trying to incorporate speed in my lifts and eventually plan on repping 405 by the end of summer.. thx man!!!

  • @163Fly They do 1,3, or 5 reps usually. Just good an olympic weightlifting program, but make sure it's a lot of heavy work, otherwise it's shite.

  • @163Fly Sorry for the late response but I would keep every ting under 3 reps, that way you can stay fast and keep your technique look good the whole time.

  • Great back muscles. Notice chest is "small", of course he is weight lifter.. not powerlifter.. so no bench. Im trying to say, men go to gym and they do benchpress and bicep workouts to get good body.

  • man i really need to know how you use the bands over your wrists-hand joint!! i have a problem in one and i like to go to the gym, until now i just wrapp my hand-wrist joints with a gauze and i dont really know if it works or if im doing it right, my wrist joint hurts some times, im afraid of getting a cyst again T_T where the hell can i get some info about this?? help damnit!

  • @AKscoundrel Actually his back is safe and as long as he's arching his back the way he does he will never hurt his back. Practically all lifters (O lifters) have to do this to keep their back safe and to maximize power. The laws of fitness don't apply to this type of lifting. It's an ironic thing but this is how safe lifting which is totally counter to the principles of fitness.
