  • Launched from ELMETH? I knew it!!

  • Why would a country that has renounced the right to engage in a war need a system like this?

  • @Tjita1 self defense

  • @sdhsjklfkdssrsjkydhg

    not fake hahaha

  • Awesome job Japan!

  • それにしてもすごい安定性だな。

  • OH MY GOD, THIS IS A NEWTYPE FUNNEL!

  • Reminds me of interceptors in gundam.

  • ok, take it easy

  • 能ある鷹は爪を隠す

  • I think I saw footage from a similar but smaller device during a Cold War documentary. This is much bigger though.

  • This will help us defeat the evil Mukor!

  • WOW

  • Now several step up control systems are acquired by Japan.

    This was the 2006's one.

  • thx

  • awesome

  • kawaii mount rockets on it call it Mini Hunters :)

  • Makes you wonder where it will end. Bigger missiles, better defense, bigger missiles, better defense. As a species we need to grow the fuck up!!

  • @outofslumber QFT

  • @6U4RD1AN

    ???

  • @outofslumber Quoted for truth

  • 0:40 UFO! :D

  • Can you imagine one of these flying into your house?

  • The US just basically handed this 100 billion dollar technology to the russians in the nuke treaty. They should have never made this and split the 100 billion dollars between the 308 million americans so we can buy guns for when the US economy collapses.

The enemy is already here; its us, we need to save ourselves from ourselves. After the collapse it will plunge over 100 million into poverty. What do you think will happen then?

  • US lies,

Everything from Atomic Bomb's aim which they simply just wanted to test nuclear and chose Japan, The pearl harbor incident never happened, they made bunch of lie story of Japan History, Japan is now just being silent of every noises from brainwashed Koreans and Chinese. look "Secret history of Atomic Bomb" for reference.

The 9-11 tragedy is set up by US Govt'.

Setup for an opportunity to invade Afghanistan, and now they're also doing the same style to Iraq.

    Now Russia will give help.

  • @USFullOfLies lol

  • @USFullOfLies So wheres my fucking grandpa huh you prick? "pearl harbor never happened" What kind of rock do you fucking live under. First, how did they lie about Bombing japan? They did that on purpose? WHOA BRO. YA NOW HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT 9/11 WAS GOVERNMENT BUILT? ARE YOU THE PRESIDENT?

  • protect freedom from evil china

  • @77777XYZ china fucking up themselves mate, by letting their citizens worship a communism party which murdered 80 millions of their own citizens. that's like the murder of soul. crazy ass god-forsaken nation everyone calls the chi-na.

  • Certainly the Japanese have a right to defend themselves and their country. North Korea shot a missile over Japanese territory a few years ago so the threat is very real. I like the Japanese people and I like Japan. When I visited Japan many years ago the people were very nice to me. Long live Japan!

  • Meeshairuu deffenushu uguu

  • bom heim...

  • @ToiYeuDatNuocCuaMinh Uber troll

  • '

earth gravity and outer space gravityless are big different weight for missile

  • Defence for China. Counter attack to FAE to China / North Korea.

  • continous engine is waste of fuel.

  • logdebarker,

ICBMs today have Multiple Warheads, and that's with Decoys and Chaffs built right into those systems as well! Now, I want people to PRETEND that they can INTERCEPT a Shotgun going off at them with only a Katana in their hand to knock out Multiple Shotgun Lead Balls coming at them! That sum up George W. Bush Missile Defense System!! =/

  • logdebarker,

This is also a waste of TaxPayers' MONEY for any countries DUMB enough to adopt this STUPID Christian KKK George W. Bush Trailer Trash IDEA! I would rather TAIWAN just have our very own Nuclear-Ready ICBMs and Nuclear-Ready SLBMs.... haha!! >=P

BTW, no Country possessing Nuclear-Ready ICBMs and Nuclear-Ready SLBMs had ever been invaded in our Earthly HISTORY.... NONE! TAIWAN better WISE UP and joining VITAL and PRESTIGEFUL Nuclear Club as soon as we can!! >=)

  • IronJackalTw,

    '

    why complain about currency,,,

worse is china, india, iran, north korea, ussr russia waste makes too many arms weapons

  • kawaii

  • Hooshi Sushi Missile

  • Isn't this Funnel Type Bit ?!

  • Nikita Missile!

  • Stolen ? It was probably shared tech.

Japan is an ally, remember ?

  • This is very similar to Lockeed Martin's missile defense multiple kill vehicle concept; I wonder if they are related

  • THE KAMIKAZE OF THE FUTURE!

  • It was stolen from Gundam, isn`t it?

  • This is just the MKV....

  • The need to roll might be due to equipment malfunction of a particular jet, damage to the unit itself, or to utilize fuel efficiency for long range track of its objective. Just a Hypothesis though.

  • Why would it need to roll?

  • You are wrong.

The one you had probably seen is the SDACS developed by the US which employs only on-off valves. This thing is the "TSDACS" developed by Japan, which employs continuous control of the valve, which means it is "throttlable". Hence the T in front of SDACS.

Japan and US have been designing their TSDACS for SM-3 blk2a in parallel. US has never hover tested their design, but they have successfully hot-fired it.

  • the moving warhead in this vid is made in Japan but rocket part is made in USA

  • Will you guys stop making irresponsible nonsense comments?

The first stage rocket motor is US made but the 2nd and 3rd stage rocket motors are Japan made.

1 minute of google search will get you this far.

  • Whoa dude that shit is fucken crazy..We got those things.

  • "Divert and Attitude Control System"

IS the name of the system, which, in no sources, has been made by Japan.

  • Its alive!!!

  • japan a great allie to the u.s

  • 飛んだw

  • Comment removed

  • Actually the "American" MKV was designed by a Japanese company and manufactured by a Canadian company (Raytheon I think) and only the delivery vehicle is of US design (Lockheed). The concept is scrapped though because it could not attack current Russian MIRVs

Besides you can see that the Japanese pulsed plasma attitude control is a lot smoother than the old MKV

  • 守るのは攻めるより難しい

  • ジーコ「守るだけのチームは、いつか必ずゴールを破られる。」

  • very interesting mathematics at play here folks

  • i love the control that they have achieved with the multiple firing rockets. Nice work. But can someone please tell me how it's supposed to engage it's target. Is this supposed to engage a missile from space?

  • Is this Gundam?

  • Put 10 of these on a jet, and paint it white and pink "Funnels Go !"

  • This seems far more sophisticated than the american version.

  • careful....your anti-Americanism is showing...

  • It's supposed to be showing... =)

  • This doesn't shoot bullet-like objects at the warhead...the US version does

  • Looks like it uses much more rocket fuel than the american one too.

  • I guess the important part would be to stop that missile before it vaporizes 10 million people. Fuel efficiency has to take 2nd place this time... ;)

  • But if it can't keep itself up for long enough then what's the point of deploying them?

  • this is the country that dominated 7 countries before WW2. that include China and Russia. They surrender due to the Atom Bomb. but look at them. slowly building its power again.

  • Yep...It's said that by the middle of the century they'll be so powerful they'll be able to challenge both the US and EU...

  • japan has her dignity and honor still intact my friend, also, the japanese goverment now are for peace, they have built many things for defence, but rarely offence

  • it will never work, u noe how hard it is to track down a elephant in space

  • yeah MKV-L, it's sold to japan under licence for it's missile defence shield-

they did it after north korea started firing missiles over the top of japan and into the sea-

next time those missiles will be shot down

  • Yeah, the SDACS and TDACS were originally developed by the US.

  • hahaha

this develpoment is ordered by US national defence department.

will use both country. for SM3 missile

  • its not even a development, its a fucking copy

  • You are so right. The person who doesn't agree with you is an idiot. Us and Japan are working together.

  • Good!

Watch Indian exo-atm missile defence test from my video.

    Thanx.

  • ファンネルだ(笑)

    ほんとガンダム好きだな・・・自衛隊・・・・

  • 幹部の世代がその世代だからじゃない?

  • Japan doesn't have a nuclear weapon.

However, it is possible to counterattack making it at once if the

    attack is received.

Japan has a technology and a nuclear material only of it.

  • Japan could make a nuke overnight if it wished. Hope you do, we can leave it to you to nuke N. Korea then!

  • not quite overnight, it would take a while. Perhaps a year, but sure. It could make one.

  • Comment removed

  • wouldn't be that far off if N.Korea tries to "test" another missile over japan-

they already said they will shoot it down

and if they launch another they'll shoot it down while it's still in korea....

  • Shooting it down while it's still in North Korea is not possible. They are using the US Patriot system to engage the North Korean missiles which doesn't have the range, (160km). Also even if it did by the time they had confirmed the missile had been launched and made the decision to intercept it, it would be almost over Japan. Additionally Japan would not be allowed to build nuclear weapons. It would totally destabilise the whole of East Asia.

  • It is possible to shoot it down while its still in N. Korea if they could recieve the info on launch beforehand.

What do you think the Kongo-class Aegis destroyers are for?

  • The Kongo-class Aegis destroyers are a modification of the US Arleigh Burke class (Flight I). The are equipped with RIM-66 Standard as an air intercept weapon. Even if they were able to find out the launch site and launch time information in advance, (the launch time being especially doubtful) then there would be very very little time to engage the missile before it left Korean airspace, so NO it isn't possible. Additionally the Standard SAM system has only limited anti-missile capability.

  • Wrong. Kongo-class started out as normal flight I Aegis, but with the BMD project, 2 out of 4 Kongo-class have alreaady been customized to use RIM-161 SM-3, with the remaining 2 following soon.

So, provided they could get the advance intel, it is possible to shoot it down over N. Korea although it's unlikely. If they couldn't get the info, they'd have to sit back near the Japanese coast and shoot it down from there.

By combining SM-3 and PAC-3, they think they can shoot down 90+% of MRBM.

  • 好驚, Gundam 的浮游炮

  • How has noone mentioned funnels or Gundam yet?

  • Gundams are incredibly impractical machines. no sane organization would actually use 1.

  • >>Gundams impractical

I'm really sorry to say I completely agree.

But the way in which the funnels are used has a massive tactical relevance since it lets you provide arms fire at range without putting yourself at risk.

You also get some crazy precision and they can detonate like torpedos or bombs with a penetrating warhead if used right which is ideal against larger targets.

  • uhh... called missiles?

A robot designed to emulate humans = impractical.

    Any fool knows that.

A more practical vehicle would be a truck, carrying these "funnels".

its cheaper, and just as effective

  • LOL! Who are you?! You know Japan more than Japanese does.

Well if you would like to come here , please anytime.

    You are welcomed :)

  • Tora - ( was born in 1974 ):))

Thank you very much for invitation ! Following my dream I will come visit Japan , I just don't know when :))) Something is calling my Russian soul to that region :))should see - China and Japan before I die one day :))But Japan it's a ? ...I don't know ....a different world ! Amazing one and so sensative :))) Chinese stays a way below that line ...The difference is like as between a Tiger and White Chrisantema :)

  • Looks like something you'd only see on Armored Core.

  • There might be obtained something as a technical element in the future.

However, it is not possible to use it as a deterrent.

    Japan surely does "Nuclear armament".

  • It's a Hunter-seeker.

  • whether it's democrats or republicans, hope the next ministration of US would hold its security policy in the east asia against communist china (including dprk). it's good to know that at least the worst choise has been avoided in the US presidential campaign..

what ever this missile is, the matter comes first is the ALLIENCE.

if you dont wanna eat poisend food.

    allied.

  • US and Japan work togeather to create a missile shield against china

  • yes

    we are allies

  • take care of Russia, too.

  • and against North Korea & Iran, too!

  • now just imagine what it can do when it is in space.

  • this parts equip laser weapon.

  • Can Small electro-magnetized missiles levitate on a Jet's wing.Wing does not touch missile at all, only magnet levitation.Small missiles will obtain there own laser energized magnetism, because of solar cells that are around the missiles, they can become energized, photo-voltaic cells and can make magnet levitation, see when laser light shines(not sun light)on the missile's solar cells. This allows so creates levitation fields.Could be hard to balance the missile levitate properties,in high g-forces.

  • Is it possible to lesson friction on cannon guns on a battle ship, when missile and cannon are made with high powered electro magnet material. Allowing less friction in between cannon and missile. What would be the degree of shot enhanced accuracy.

    Any ideas on this.

  • Did you see the videos of the US Navy's world record 10.7 Megajoule Rail Gun?

  • the friction in more recent models is from the air unfortunately, not the canon. the canon's worst enemy is the electricity, which frequently warps, overheats, or embrittles it.

  • is it tested in 0g? ...

  • .....this is speech less highly powered thrusters any other would fall to pices and that control, its almost perfect, were close people...to a new flight revolution where ships will move faster than any human body can resist due to preassure.. too bad the world alredy seems to be ending...

  • that is so cooool missile in japan..

it is look alike a SDI as a star wars missile by former american president ron reagan idea

  • next thing we know the japanese will have magnetic force fields around japan

  • Hahah so true lol

  • Thats some insanely accurate stabilization control. Having enough thrust to keep the unit airborne and yet this much accuracy? Not your average 'correction' thrusters.

  • Yeah it's insane.. I liked how quickly i t responded in movements.. I never imagined this speed..

  • Nice shot.

IMO, they need to make mobile ground based SM-3 launched versions.

4 Japanese destroyers are good start, but that is better for defending fleets against incoming BM attack.

Maybe a SM-4 is ground launch system :)

  • which ever way put it people japan is more probebly technologically advanced than any other coutry in the world

  • Anyone have a test video of the Pulsed SM-3 block 1A KW? I think it is much better than this version.

I can't seem to find it anywhere....

  • thats sick

  • man, they are Japanese, do you dare to say that they are idiots? They are in the pinnacle of robotics and the only prototypes of humanoids are being developed by Sony and Honda. Do you really believe that this highly maneuverable rocket won't have an Artificial Intelligence (IA) or some sort of highly automated system? damn, where are you from?

  • by the way how do you think it is so stable, doesn't that bring to your attention? damn only that alone makes me drool man. the guidance and targeting is a piece of cake comparing with this, that thing must be filled with gyroscopes.

  • man, they are Japanese, do you dare to say that they are idiots? They are in the pinnacle of robotics and the only prototypes of humanoids are being developed by Sony and Honda. • 非常に安定した制御技術ですね。素直に驚きました。
