"Les Choristes" did wonders for kids' choirs in its own country - sadly, I suspect this won't. Technical aspects being hurried along for media reasons. Not a little exploitative. The choirmaster is far too soft on the boys. Producer's priority: heartwarming programme, a public performance on tape, not to develop real singing skills. Quickly constructed made-for-TV choirs won't cut it in the long run. Coaching boys to really live within the piece takes time but TV doesn't do patience.

Ok that choir is not perfect but i like it.

I wish i had a choir of my own like this-so big :) With some times and work it can be good like all the british boys choirs :)

The conductor makes a good work and shows only what is important for the piece.

And the choir is cute too :)

It is truly amazing how Gareth taught these boys to sing as a choir in such a short period. He is a wonderful person and music teacher. "The Choir" program on BBC is very inspiring.

TVO Ontario (local public supported non commercial station) showed ihe series last fall and will almost certainly repeat it in the Summer. If you don't live in Ontario, I guess you may be out of luck unless you can pesuade American Public Television to put it on. Gareth is a superb teacher and did a fine job with those kids.
