As i have been studying the works of various persons, including Werner Erhard, Tony Robbins, LRon Hubbard, etc etc. I can see many of Werner's idea's as well as the others were influenced by prior people who wrote of simiar ideas, like the many people of the New Thought movement, among others.

I am curious .. of all commenters, how many actually TOOK the est Training? The Landmark Forum is NOT est @chris8lee and this communication from Werner predates the creation of Landmark.  Werner as brand was NOT and is not associated with Landmark. Perhaps you calling the thunderstorm "evil" when what is true is that it is just a thunderstorm.

@Teddy- you don't see Werner speaking on YOUTUBE either..eg: it's a free medium and his and Landmark's lawyers vigorously protect and control what's released about him. He is a brilliant savant, and communicator. But whenever someone has a financial agenda in the wisdom marketplace, they have an incentive in controlling the "appearance" of their brand. He "appears" to you as the Source of this message. He's not disposed to be wholly forthright about his background and methods.

erhard is a crafty dude. He's a modern day Empedocles. He's a paid lecturer/teacher. He dresses up his explorations in existentialism and Socratic "midwifery'' and makes it look like he thought it up on his own. His style is both charismatic and long winded. I have studied his work for quite a while and find it refreshing to be able to study his sources--people who don't have his mercenary agenda.

though its getting onward to 30 years, Werner is the voice of this message in our lifetime.

@chris8lee I resent your cynicism, werner was very clear that he got the ideas from other thinkers a lot of the time, also he managed to combine these ideas in a way which created something unique, which really was his creation.

Werner is truly a brilliant man and his programs helped thousands of people. The video is great but it feels incomplete. If there is more, I would love to see it.
