@neofox101 technically the shadows don't have the insignia of heartless and in 358/2 days they explain that only the ones with the insignia release hearts (i don't know how that fits in but it just went with the theme) and after they find him in traverse they decide to protect him by taking away the keyblade. but he did make this a clear case for anyone who hasn't because he didn't include the letter that told them to FIND THE KEY lol.
