Sorry about that I was trying to say my name is Dakota Goodwin I live in Arizona And I'm coin hunter too like you I got old coin's though 1904-1950's you could see all of them because I,m making video,s of my coin hunting if you want to watch them look for my user name on message the video,s will be done somewhere on February because I,m waiting for my video camera in the mail my grandma is going to send it to me it will come right on my sister birthday .
Now that place looks FUN to hunt! Congrats on tying your single day silver record. They comes out so nice in that Midwest soil... Looking forward to more man.
@graysondigger Ya its getting better. This hunt was a little hot and we needed to take a break to get something to drink. A lot better than it has been though.
@52969RST Etrac, hands down. You can find them for $1100.00 new or $1000.00 with very little time on them. You just need to haggle with the dealers or keep an eye on Treasurenet's FS section. Give Windy City Detectors and Woodland Detectors a call. Both great dealers.
INCREDIBLE DAY! Way to go on all the silvers. Not very often when you can get a handful of silver and have more Barbers than anything else. And 37 wheaties? Wow, just wow. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night until I had covered that area thoroughly. Congrats.
@alwaysseekingsilver We've been working this place May save for the last month which saw no action. This place will probably be giving up goodies for quite some time.
Fantastic Job D-Dub! Your efforts really pay off when you come home with that much silver. Congrats. One final question: I notice you dig the iron targets if they are deep silver, but what percentage of the iron signals actually turn out silver? HH from C.B
@CoinageBritannia The percentage is low, but it always seems to pay off. Most of the silver I found in this hunt, were signals I never would have dug last year. Iron numbers with a hint of silver in the tone.
Ddub, i think you have great vids.... i go metal detecting with my dad and have only found 2 silvers (1946 rosevelt and 925 ring). do you have any advice of where to go to find silver and gold? once again great vids!!!
@ponz83 Depends on your history. Your local library can be a great resource to find where people picniced, which parks were used back in the day, etc. We are fortunate that a lot of the parks and forest preserves have been used as far back as the mid 1800's. Do the research. It will pay off.
WOw thats really good dude! I wish we had soil conditions like yours. Nice black soft fertalized type soil. When your friend cut that plug with his shovel it was like butter. lol We dont have that here in Oklahoma :D Good job! HH
@TactiFred This particular place has good soil. The only problem with it is that your plug falls apart when you pull it back and it can get messy like it was today. The good thing is once the soil dries you can't see it anymore. Some sites around here when it gets dry its almost impossible to cut a plug. Thanks for watching!
Awesome finds DDub! Those retailers' tax tokens were only made from May 1933 to May 1934. Any time you find more Barbers than mercs is a GREAT day! Congrats and HH, Dave.
@MrJohnson448 Work, heat, and lookn4seated just got married last weekend. Lots of prepping which my girlfriend and I were apart of. There is no such thing as enough silver!!
@ddub134: I recently had a run on Barbers at an old carnival ground. You get a chance check the vids out. Found me a honeyhole like you guys! HH and best of luck!
@Biofilmz Earlier this year I had a 9 silver day and I believe all of them where barbers including a half. youtube.com/watch?v=OEO49VTbrDo Thanks for watching!
@AmericanCoinHunting Thanks, Dave. Sorry I haven't called. I saw your vid with GOIO. Great to see him with a detector in his hand again. Good luck to both of you out there!
