@228whpEG6 genius, with a full car, the power to weight ratio is affected, that's a plain fact. You can't lower hp or tq, just affect it. I have a damn c63 and I can tell the difference btwn having the car full or just myself. If you put a passenger in any sports car, it'll run a slower quarter mile, lap time, whatever, no matter what car. Any suggestion otherwise is ridiculous and impossible.

@FrozenBlaze You sir are wrong. You have the right idea, but are missing major points. The RX7 is built for RACING and not transporting passengers. It's horsepower torque curve and gearing are all built for horsepower up top and not for grocery bag carrying. The Mercedes on the other hand was built with the torque in mind to push a heavy car along. It was made to put 4 douchbags in it and still move out, removing them wouldn't help THAT much. To match passengers is an unfair handy cap to the RX.
I don't care wether the car was built for racing or not, it's still stupid to have a light weight car againts an already heavy car with passengers in it.
Having those guys step out of the car, would make a big difference.
Not to mention, pressing on the gas pedal in a C32, while running the car in automatic mode instead of manual, causes for a lot of time to be lost while accelerating, as the computer has to downshift for better torgue.
It takes about half a second or a full second for the C32's computer to downshift the car into the ideal gear for fast acceleration. In the video, the guy is clearly driving in 3rd or 4th gear. When he pushes down the gas pedal, the C32 downshifts to 2nd or 3rd gear (depending on which he was in, 3rd or 4th), which costs him a 0.5-1.0 second.
Had he tapped the shiftstick to the left, downshifting by himself in to the ideal gear, he would have had a much better acceleration.
@TypeSRT I have a C32 and I can tell you point blank that carrying 3 passengers (200kg+) WILL slow it down. Also depends on weight of fuel in the tank. It's got a high torque engine agreed, but that's still not going to give it acceleration speed with so much added weight. The RX I agree is a different animal. That I can carry 4 passengers in considerable comfort is certainly a bonus.

Your car weights the same (if a sedan) as the R32 and it's got a worse acceleration and less horsepower. Even a standard R32 would beat it, with it's limited 280hp. Not to mention, a standard stock R32 is limited to 180km/h due' to the "gentlemen agreement" in Japan. Your car can go 220km/h at most.

Yes, Japanese cars are amung the most tunable cars in the world due to availability of parts. There is actually a bit of tuning can be done to the C32 to make it even faster.

They come out of the factory developing as much power as the parts will handle, thus these cars come from the factory putting out about as much power as you could get out of the engines in them, so the aftermarket is extremely limited to what you can slap on them for more power.
@Engelados Some third party companies like Brabus, have turned normal Mercedes cars into the fastest cars in their class. AMG is really only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to tuning these cars, the other outside companies usually can get alot more from them. See the Brabus SLK from the mid 90s, thats a fucking monster of a roadster.

The C32 has 4 dudes in the car (incl. driver).
The RX-7 had only the driver.
That's 400-500kg extra weight for the C32, so the RX-7 should have had that extra weight too, in order to have a neutral/-fair "race".
And if not so, then still, the douches sitting in the C32, could have been left outside so the cars would have had a better match-up.

@Engelados not all bud mercedes are quiet fast , i personal own one and believe it or not it can keep up a gtr and burnout sport 4door cars such as Lexus is250, sentra R-spec, and quiet other cars not forget a audi S4, so it all depends we cant stick with one car gota give it a try and then judge. p.s. my Benz is a C240 168hp car so do some maths and ask ur self how it can keep up a gtr R32.

Your car weights the same (if a sedan) as the R32 and it's got a worse acceleration and less horsepower. Even a standard R32 would beat it, with it's limited 280hp. Not to mention, a standard stock R32 is limited to 180km/h due' to the "gentlemen agreement" in Japan. Your car can go 220km/h at most.
So, start explaining and posting proof, otherwise stop talking bullshit.

@Engelados With a stock 0-60 of 4.5 seconds and a top speed (removed limiter) of near 200mph, tell me how many cars in 2002 were faster than the C32. Not alot thats for sure. It wasnt the fastest car in the world, but it was the fastest 4-door saloon ever built in 2002 and it was faster than pretty much anything youd see on the street. It is a sleeper beyond anything else.

Yes, Japanese cars are amung the most tunable cars in the world due to availability of parts. There is actually a bit of tuning can be done to the C32 to make it even faster.

@Engelados In the case of Mercedes cars, the engines in the upper models of these cars (like my C280, or like an S600) are like the engines in Ferraris and Lambos. They come out of the factory developing as much power as the parts will handle, thus these cars come from the factory putting out about as much power as you could get out of the engines in them, so the aftermarket is extremely limited to what you can slap on them for more power.

AMG is really only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to tuning these cars, the other outside companies usually can get alot more from them. See the Brabus SLK from the mid 90s, thats a fucking monster of a roadster.
