I hope she is okay. I know they've been having a lot of trouble in Southern California with the Mexican drug wars spilling over across the border. Lots and lots of kidnappings for money ransom, and all kinds of violence like we never saw before.

Reason is apparently the Mexican economy is now so demolished that most Mexicans are way below destitute. This caused crime to soar and its coming up into Southern California with the immigrants.
