  • There the guys from the green hornet 10 years later!

  • fuck go dady

  • what brands of usb can boot linux?

  • this work whit wind 7 64bits?

  • @minor25 of course

  • Roger Chang is so hot.

  • really? you could just find those files without cmd... its called a search in specific folder in windows 7 idiots...

plus, whats the need to put an obsolete operating system on a computer anymore? windows 8 developer's preview already came out and if you manage to get your hands on build 9755, you can make a portable windows 8 developer's preview on an 32gb or bigger flash drive or external hard disk. Lol to the people who actually did this :P

  • boring

  • that technology i old. 2 much doss! there is a 123 ABC, software that is easy to used. Very good GUI

  • could this work with a re-writable CD?

  • So it wont work with my Corsair Flash Voyager 8GB?

  • puppy linux is the best

  • @stefco100 Puppy is good, but if you want the smallest, you need DSL(Damn Small Linux) The whole distro is 50mb. ;)

  • i wanted to do it through linux, if theres any way possible.

  • This kinda didn't help :/

I was hoping I could boot windows xp's operating system on a laptop that has vista, because I don't like vista, and I'm borrowing this laptop for college work

  • why the hell are they extracting and copying the files like that >.< grr through me off until I realized I could 7-zip it and then copy and paste

  • its so damn nerdy :P

  • @Gucangyo

You have to run the command prompt as administrator.

  • OMG my head, it hurts

  • i can't seem to expand ramdisk.sy_ error description is access is denied.

  • i made my ipod a usb flash drive :)

  • @chriskopp2 Wow, you are late!

  • My computer has the option for an usb optic drive which is probably what the ones you have that aren't working are.... just a guess.

  • Is the USB re-usable after you get rid of the OS of the USB drive?

  • @jpatel5209 Yes, it is.

  • @jpatel5209 yes it is but you need to hook it up running in reg mode off your hard drive and then go to computer right click the drive that your flash drive is then press format/reformat

  • Man Boobs

  • what did you rename to ws_sp1

  • @Daddypawo59

for convenience...it is much easier to type "ws_sp1" than "WindowsServer2003-KB889101-SP1-x86-ENU.exe"

  • say you have windows and you want to put linux on and then can you take it off with windows the same as you had it?

  • 00:52 Skip boring intro! :)

  • Comment removed

  • I've gotten ubuntu to boot from my 8GB sandisk usb stick.

  • You two guys blab more than two lonely old ladies

  • use diskpart to format the drive to NFTS and any flash drive can be bootable

  • HE SAID SIMPLE. WhaTs with all those downloads, modifications and prompting

  • no bios=mac

    therefore

    mac=shit

  • I want to download Linux on my Flashdrive, but it won't let me on the website, only on CD/DVD... how do I put it on a Flashdrive?

  • @theif519 You download the CD/DVD Version, burn it to a disk, boot to it and follow the tutorial.

  • @UbuntuTipz But I don't have a CD/DVD to burn it on, where do I get one? What's the cheapest I can get?

  • @theif519 No worries friend, you can pick up DVD-R or CD-R from your local pound shop or poundland, they're very cheap. And if you don't mind waiting 3 or 4 weeks you can always request a free disk from ubuntu's website.

  • To anyone who can't give up Windows: Use AVG Internet Security for keeping your computer safe from any type of virus! You will not be dissapointed!!!

  • For Linux based operating systems, there is the universal usb installer. It allows you to download the linux iso and create the bootable usb. For all windows operating systems, Win2Flash is a great program to use to create a bootable usb of Windows 7, Vista, XP, or even older windows OS's! Win2Flash works perfectly! I used it on my GFs laptop and it worked like a charm!!! :D

  • oh boy, how to make rice crispy treats in the description how convenient!

  • Will this work for 10.10 cuz I tried it but it didn't work! Can you give me a link to the website for 8.10?

  • @TheBubbleboy456 there is an easier want install ubuntu 10.10

  • @TeruMikami2345 but I want to get a bootable USB not a Installation USB.

  • @TheBubbleboy456 Extract the image file, look for the "startup disk creator" it makes a persistance volume, so programs can run and save, and usee get the option to install if u want

  • hi can you make a video on IP cameras

  • you can make all usb's bootable.......

  • Just use UNetbootin.....ez-peezy.

  • @MrWTFMANG I keep trying that but it's not working for me I'm trying to dual boot linux and xp

  • wtf, is called UBUNTU not U(M)BUNTU 20:27

  • its called gparted ive taken every usb drive and added boot flag. it works perfect. every drive you have will run an boot

  • WINDOWS FUCKIGN SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @halo5062 i know, i got a trojin virus on my vista that makes my internet like dial-up so im useing chrome os on a usb and i love it, it is so fast and the internet seems like 20mb per sec but its really 4mb per sec so try that. its worth it

  • @brandonhughes7 Or you could stop browsing for pron on your computer and you won't get viruses like that. Or just use any of 500 free programs to clean your computer (malwarebytes, spybot, mse).

  • @TrentR42 yes cause anti-virus scanners are proactive, right?

Once your network is compromized, it's like cancer. you're never really rid yourself of the threat. it can come back.

BootCD at your friend's house == TNO

Honestly, sandboxing works well. doesn't completely solve it, but it's probably one of the most powerful layers to add. far more than a "chemo therapy will save me from all cancer threats"

  • Fuck i cant play games

  • just say it. PORN.

  • (Me)Hey look davy i used you computer and it has trojans (Davy) Oh yeah i forgot to mention that (me) dammit davy you should of used a condom

  • NO MAC IS DENIED. Sorry about that. :(

  • Just to help everyone out......you will need to format your USB drives to fat32 in most cases and you will need to use a free piece of software called HP USB Format Utility. Once you do this you should be off and running. I have never found a USB drive that won't work with this. Have fun and enjoy!

  • can i do the same on a mac?

  • @IndustrialFaustXVII

    NO!!!! BWAHAHAH! Just Kidding.

  • @IndustrialFaustXVII YES! But you must prep your Mac for it first.

    1) Wrap your Mac in Aluminum Foil.

    2) Place in Microwave on a power setting of 3, for 12 minutes and 3 seconds - NO MORE THAN 12 minutes and 3 seconds!

    3) Turn over and repeat.

  • lol mac blows

  • @jfleming006 lolololol

  • @jfleming006 lol

  • @jfleming006 I'm kind of hoping he acuity dose this and then takes pictures, I'm kind of curious of what the after math would look like.

  • con you use an i-pod?

  • umbuntu

  • Comment removed

  • Eureka. Linux is amazing.

  • @Offspringfan64 It sucks. I had Linux because Windows didn't support my hardware drivers but, now I installed windows 8 DEVeloper preview, I don't care if it's not stable but, It is better then the most stable and fast OS from Linux

  • @Offspringfan64 it sure is currently im a fedora 14 user because i hate gnome 3 and unity

  • i delete everything from my computer now it wont boot will this put windows 7 back on my laptop?

  • @LaMon313Kemp Get a windows home premium iso from a trusted website. Like digitalriver, and than use the key on the bottom of your laptop when it asks.

  • my bios version is R0170J3. does anyone know how to check if it's usb drive bootable?

  • @grassMT The only way to know is to try.

  • can u chang the theme to xp

  • that's alot of trouble to go through to make a usb bootable os lol.

  • my sandisk works great

  • it won't let me do the part at 8:57

    when I type in:

    WS_SP1.exe -x

    it says:

"Command line syntax error. Type Command /? for Help."

    so I type:

    Command /?

and it tells me all this stuff and all these different commands I can execute but " -x" isn't in there :( so it won't let me extract the i386 folder, which means I cannot continue the rest of the process to be able to boot windows form a flash drive ;(

  • I got ubuntu on a flashdrive and I tried to run it on my netbook so I can remove my wirewall that was placed on it that I otherwise cant alter without admin priveledges. When I run ubuntu I can remove those files and go back to windows without anyone knowing. I run it on my netbook and it gets to the point when I hit the first option and it plays the music and then nothing happens. What can I do to alter files on windows 7 with an alternate OS

  • Trading notes in class or trading porn, USB is the best.

  • how do i connect to the internet?

  • @polankjr

    ROFLMFAO

How are you on YouTube if you can't connect to the internet?

    *laughs hysterically*

  • @TheHalo3Gaurdians jajaja i mean the pe builder once you are able to install windows on a usb how do you connect to the internet in the pe builder on the USB!!! GOT IT!?

  • hmmm usually most cheap drives don't have the mbr to be bootable *shrug

  • From 3:45 to 4:01 you were kinda just describing what flash drives do :|

  • Which EXACT usb flash drives work? I read only 1GB and 2GB work. I have an 8GB and I can not use it for this. I can use Sandboxie to surf safe, but I bought a netbook with linux SSD with no CD drive and i want to boot Bart PE from USB and being that their $6-$15 each, I do not want to buy 10 different brands and hope that a few of them work. 4 and 8 gig drives are the same price as the 2GB so I do not want extra tiny overpriced USB drives. I tried google. Not much luck.

  • @guest2424 Newegg gots a good one. It's kinda ugly but its fast and very cheap only $19.99 and .99 cents shipping for the 8gig. Go to newegg and search for "PEF8GUSB" It has over 910 user reviews on newegg. Search the rewiews for "boot drive" and read what people are saying about it as a boot drive. The drive is called "Patriot Xporter XT Boost"

  • 6:35 "download the top one, uninstall it" uninstall?

  • @guest2424 "download the top one, an' install it."

  • @PS3EVH LOL, i was tired. Well, I found out something useful.

"The normal BartPE has a "i386" folder and the hard drive BartPE has a "minint" folder" so if it wont work, try renaming to the other name.

    ..... 911cd . net .... =13930&pid=89521

  • how do you get to the bart pe build website?

  • @mrgrizz559 lmgtfy.com

  • So you actually said that you could not make a bootable MBR? n00bs!!!

  • haha asian

  • Theres going to be a Ghostbusters 3 coming out in the next few years

  • Guys, I need help. I got ubuntu working from a usb boot but I can't get my network connection. I have broadband wireless through my own router. I have another PC in the house that is running fine and this system usually just runs off the router in another room.

Everyone says it should detect the connection but it doesn't.

  • @endthedisease ask on ubuntuforums org and ubuntuguide org is a good reference. If its wireless you might have to plug in the Ethernet cord first to download the wireless drivers. When plugged in go to System - Administration - Hardware Drivers

  • @endthedisease Are you booting the same operating system on both computers? That's not to say this won't work, but sometimes Ubuntu will not automatically detect the network connection if the host is running another operating system. This has happened to me, and the fix is to set up your network connection manually. I can't seem to remember if Ubuntu has netconf or not though, try typing that in an X-Terminal.

  • @RadcliffOfCrymod The computers share the wireless connection but I never network computers in my house.

  • @endthedisease Ahh ok... are the computers both running ubuntu?

  • @RadcliffOfCrymod No, just my moms computer

  • @endthedisease Have you tried using netconf to configure your network manually?

You can get the required information from your Internet Service Provider (ISP.)

Also, assuming one of your computers is running Windows XP, you should also bring up your network connections, right-click on the connection that connects it to the internet, and go to Properties/Advanced, and turn the firewall off. That will sometimes fix things for you as well. Close that window and this time doubleclick (cont)

  • on the network connection and go to the Support tab and repair the connection.

  • to bad everything runs on WINDOWS ... anal fuck windows !

  • NTSC AND FAT32 is the difference betweeen compatible usbs and non compatible i think

  • my USB scandisk cruser is already formatted to FAT32 but it got some executable bullshit and folders

,so do I just delete the exe. + files and install what ever on it ??

  • @WakkoXtreme plug the usb stick in, find it in my computer, right click on it and select format. there should be a drop down box, select NTSC, then click format. when that finishes you're good to go.

  • @Wingz136 thanks bro!

  • sneaker net (wow taking it back

  • Ubuntu FTW!!!!!

  • That didnt help at all....

  • viva Linux!!!

  • 24:51?? OMG!

  • you could just make up a batch file that does all that in 1 go....

  • Fuck windows

  • really nice, usb is less noisy than hdd too, for us who don't like headaches. if i could get linux to have the same graphics quality i would never use windows, the other day 150gb gone, i was installing vista and don't remember partitioning my files partition, :(

  • Ubuntu Sux.

  • @00MrPanda00

    Blame yourself for that

  • @MrQarsim It Still Sucks.

  • @00MrPanda00

    Yup blame yourself for that

  • if your bios does not support usb booting, you can boot into a cd or floppy of plop and boot usb from there.

  • Great video! Thanks!

  • LOL! Just open the SP with WinRAR and pull out the files you want. ;-) No need to extract the whole thing.

  • Excellent video! Expert advice! You should upload your video to Ewisdomtv

  • @susanbunch1980 No point... This was an online web series and isn't running anymore :/ Anyone who wants to see it just needs to come here for it...

  • you know linux has a .iso file creator and and all flashdrives are compatiable you just need to format the dam thing

  • the one thing i hate the most is those so called geeks . this was the fucking worst thing i saw on youtube from a so called tech.when you download the file it's an .exe file. how did you create the folder usb_boot????? nothing about it. you said expand it??? what the .exe file? look when you do some don't jump steps you fuckers

  • @yayafitini hahaha i love how your so worked up over this lmao your obviously dumb as fuck to not know what to do. the .exe file is an extractable file.. you extract it to usb_boot...

  • to get every thumb drive to work, you need to reformat the thumb drive as a FAT partition.

  • when you save your files and reboot will it still be there

  • question for the more techy people here: I want to put a virtual XP OS on my flash drive so that I can boot on top of any other OS like Vista or Win7...if tried Vmware, anyother softwares i might need ? ...and any tips ?

  • do i need to install the sevrise pack please click reply

  • I got to the step where I'm supposed to download service pack 1 but it tells me that the version of windows that i have installed does not match the update that i am trying to install... What next?

  • Question: How can i make a boot cd

so that it boots straight to a web browser,

    eg firefox

  • you mean go to firefox when you login?just use the task scheduler to have it open firefox on startup.

  • can someone please help me im trying to put ubuntu on a cd image and then install it on a computer can someone please show me how its not lets me im getting an error message saying not valid

  • @isk8tokill get nero then burn the cd image to a cd then startup your pc then boot the cd then install i have done it before so i know

  • thats a sick systm shirt

  • IS BOOTING FROM USB FAST? appreciate answers

  • its about 400mbps, a fire wire 800 drive would be better

  • oh ok. faster than HDD?

i have a sad, sad hard drive at home, slowest shit. what should i do/buy for a reasonable price. removable device sounds tempting

  • Faster than from cd :)

  • PATRICK NORTON!

  • It's probably because Sandisk has that retarded program partition that no matter what you do it's always there.

  • I do this with my MP3 Player. I've got a version of Slax on it. It runs pretty well.

  • when they are talking about booting a USB OS, do they mean from restarting the PC and going to BIOS or open something like a virtual OS inside a PC OS ?

  • and my Ubuntu does not have the "create USB startup" option, any idea how i proceed ?

  • Fuck Vista..

  • i agree fuck vista

  • @FourtySevenFiftyOne (thumb up!!!)

    Fuck Vista [2]

  • How can I delete it from my usb drive because I have a scandisk 2gb U3 and I cant find a root or a file that its in it saved in the physical memory of my usb and like I said I cant find any file or nothing so I format it but it still takes up the space, I have no clue how to delete it, can you please help?

  • well if you are using windows do this...

(this will delete everything on your usb drive)

    start

    computer

    right click your usb drive

check off the little quick format button

    then press start

    and that should be all
