  • Wow beautiful love poem. I especially found it interesting the contrast of the words and contradiction of the character you are speaking to ("wanting, anticipating, palpatating, SUFFOCATING" and "for I am your victim, and lover, and friend."

  • @PoetryNext Hi, thank you for the really great and nice comment. :) Much appreciated.

  • Thank you very much.

  • @SamuelCyrus Well thank you very much. :-)

  • Very good poem! Looking forward to reading more of your poetry:) Thanks Cameragirl803 for passing this my way! 5***** Donna

  • I'm so glad, Donna. Yes, there's definitely more to come. =D And thanks Jane!

  • good poem aleisha i enjoyed it

  • Thanks Mike!

  • My guitar teacher always tells me that you only play to 60% of your potential when others can hear you, so you just gotta keep plugging away. I keep my music just for myself (apart from the few tracks on my 'hidden' music channel).

So much creativity, so little time. If I could give you more I would. Your poems bring a touch of light to my otherwise dark corner of the Universe.

  • Thank you Max. I'll keep on pluggin' (unplugged) hehe- gotta make it to 60% ;)

I am glad that I can send some light your way. Hugs coming too,

    Aleisha

  • I love your diction!

This poem takes you to place in your mind where you make your own rules!

It's a like love which cuts both sides; it's love, but you can burn!

    5's stars!

    Kind regards,

    Bruno

  • Yes, the immortal words of William Shakespeare, "I burn, I pine, I perish," from my favorite play, Taming of the Shrew.

  • woah. beautiful. I think. I am a guy. I fish.

    Emotions scare me:)

  • Yeha...a man who admits it. ;) Love it! Thanks Dave.

  • I came back to hear again and to fav:) I just love this! *****

  • Beautiful Poem Aleisha! Do you have a book out? 5*****Jane

  • Funny you ask that. I had another comment from someone who said they wanted to pick up a book of my poetry and start reading it. A long time ago I submitted to an agency some poetry...but now I will do it again after I finish assembling it. ;D Thank you soooo much. Hugs, Aleisha

  • then I'll support you with no doubt, Aleisha :)

  • Ich warte noch... ;-)

  • lol ppppssch, nich weiter sagen. ich war einfach zu faul, keine ausrede. :D hihi

    Bitte um Verzeihung

  • i didn't catch it, but is this a confessional poem using a persona ala sylvia plath? or is this you talking directly to the audience/recipient?

  • Every poem I write has something very personal in it. Sometimes I reach back into my past (a love long gone) and relive and revive the feelings, emotions, pain or desire to create the effect I want..and sometimes I don't have to reach for it, sometimes it reaches for me.

  • Beautiful poem

  • Thank you Ben. :) You're always there for me.

  • My dear Al - your voice is the sound of truth and your talent comes from the right place - simply being honest about who you are and what you are going through. I'm so happy to hear that your life is filled with the beautiful things that makes life worthwhile.

As for the song - don't wish to be taken when you are already GIVEN, wish for the strenght to give a reward. Your honesty is already a reward

    S

  • My life is definitely filled with beautiful things and beautiful people. =D Thank you!

    Aleisha

  • Waiting for the vid to load - meanwhile I read the poem: Let that voice save you, my friend - it has something to teach you. There's a reason why that voice speaks to you dear, a very good reason.

Beautiful poem - magnificent like an exposed nerve waiting to be healed. You WILL be healed.

    Love,

    S

  • great poem! and well you're just as awful as i am when it comes to guitarplaying/musicwriting.. hehe.. but as long as you're liking what you do just do it ^^ the chords did sound beautifull together

  • thanks. ha ha. Yeah I'm awful..but no, you're not. I'll keep going. Oh! I'm so glad you liked the sounds of the chords..just have to get a little rhythm or something going...figure out how many times I want to play each..mix it up a bit. I'm experimenting. =D

  • yeah that's how it works for me too :-p

just find some chords, some words a rythm and there you go ^^

  • great poem sweetie :) And the guitar playing was cute :P Like I already said. Your chord changing is much better now! :D catch ya laters :)

  • Thanks sweetness. Yeah I didn't go very long this time...but I practiced the other songs right after and read the notes and was great. I feel like a dunce loading Rock O My Soul on yt though. lol.

  • I want to think your poem is about me. NJ on the guitar.

  • You caught me Shawn. It's for you babe. hehe ^-^

  • This has got to be one of the greatest poems I have ever heard. It's my new absolute favorite! Your pauses were perfect and you stressed the syllables of each word exceptionally well. I cannot wait to see some new videos :)

  • Thank you dearest Sam, for all your kind words. SWAK,

    Aleisha

  • Wow Aleisha! I really didn't know you felt this way about me! I'm speechless!

Please tell me more, it makes me wanna live!

I put the blade back in the razor and pills back in the box already! Tnx ~Chris~

  • Hehe. Good thing dear Chris...can't lose any of my brothers. ;-)

  • I really liked the poem. Maybe sometime you can set it to music, although I like it as a reading. It's great that you have these projects going on and I'm happy that you're getting some recognition. It feels so wonderful when you've worked so hard and long to get it.

  • Thanks Jeff. Maybe so...but I bet someone will beat me to it. lol. Yes, it's very exciting right now in many ways. =D

  • So many people in my life have said that they wished they could play guitar like me..My response to them is, get a guitar and start learning..You lovely lady have taken the first "strum".There is no place to start except the begining...Love you, love your stuff..Craig..

  • Yes, I just need more practice. I haven't looked at the notes in ages...just been strumming trying to get my fingers used to changing chords. But I will keep going.

    Thanks for everything Craig,

    :*

    Aleisha

  • hey I love your poetry. I am happy that things are going well for you and keep the practice going and soon you will be great.

  • Thanks Dean. =) I will.

  • Thanks Reid. =D

  • The thing I love about your poetry Aleisha is that it is so raw. That's so exciting about your film work and working with the director. Nice guitar there, nice tone, hand position on the chords is great, practice is the key.

  • Thanks Gary. =) Yes, it is very exciting. There was so much about it that I'm flying about that I could not describe everything that happened. But for the first time in my life, I feel acknowledged for my skill, creativity and hard work by a VIP IN the biz. You know? =D
