  • I'm actually making a megaman 10 press kit which contains beta robot masters and the complete soundtrack as well as concept sketches and many other stuff. It's on sd card format and will be on sale soon. I'll tell ya when it's available and the first person to contact me after the release date gets the kit. Excited or what?!

  • Oh no

  • Does the cartridge work???

  • I have one of these carts, I think I might rip the content next year. and if anyone wants a cartridge, they gonna send a burn cd and an nes cartridge. next year me and my buds plan this, and to also sell for 9.00 a peice

  • @123stephenno

You can find the content of the disk on my website at the address in the video description.

  • @BrYaN5555 oh thanks man. this might become a reality

  • god i wish i knew about the press kits earlier... :(

  • @Ismaelvilla100 they were expensive then too

  • I knew full well what was on the disc and decided there was no point to opening it. *shrugs* To each his own and I have no qualm with someone opening it. It's not like opening a sealed copy of one of the original NES games. Now THAT would be blasphemy! :P

  • its ok man, i opened mine too :P

  • aww i actually thought the cd would be a game you could play.

  • what can you play it on? the nes or what

  • now i know the power thats inside nes cartridges

  • would it actually work in a nes?

  • I'd throw the disc in the trash. it's the box and cartridge is the only thing I'd want it for. looks great :D

  • This is too awesome. Favorited.

I'm in a Mega Man tribute band here in San Antonio (check out my vids..we played at a Game Stop)

Anyway...we're releasing an album on cassette tape and we plan on doing the exact same thing done in this video....except, instead of cd...it'll be on cassette.

    OLD SCHOOL!!!!

  • @ericmsandoval good shit, I'm going to watch your videos. I'm from san antonio as well and love mega man

  • @ericmsandoval I know this comment might start off cruelly, but...

When I read you were part of a "Mega Man tribute band" I immediately thought, "Woah. That's kinda pathetic." I thought you'd be a stereotypical "loser-nerd," but instead, you're of the "awesome-nerd" variety! I was seriously surprised by how good you guys are. Thanks for demolishing stereotypes for me! (And thanks for such great music.) - Laura

  • @deSadesKitten Hey, Laura! We played our cassette release show about 2 weeks ago. Only 49 copies were made. THEY SOLD OUT FAST. If you wanna see what they look like, the URL for facebook is "megamantheband"

  • Are there still only 200 that were ever made?

  • so is this a gamecube disc? does it run on the gamecube?

  • Ce qui est intriguant c'est de se demander quel jeu se trouvait dans cette cartouche NES à l'origine avant qu'elle soit mit dans ce Press Kit ! :p

  • Pretty cool stuff! I LOVE that it comes in an NES cart. So pretty much what it comes down to is having screenshots for a magazine like Nintendo Power to put into their mag for before the game came out, it seems like. Still, pretty awesome, and definitely a very special collector's item that I am jealous of

  • this video blows... a lot

  • wait so there was a cd inside no wonder it didnt work on my nes

  • Can u upload the hold cd for us and post a link in the description or message me with a link to download the copy of the cd

  • I love the used look on these :P

  • thats crap why couldn't it be a nes game?!

  • You've gotta be fuckin' kidding me. All that money pitched towards a box with a fake plastic cartridge and a CD with a bunch of pixelated shit images that look like they could have been found online when AOL first came out. It doesn't even have the game...Capcom kinda pisses me off right now.

  • @TheNabsta Yeah, the content is CRAP! Just a few nice wallpapers, some screenshots, artwork and two word files!? I thought the CD at least contained some tracks, mp3 or some MIDI files from the game but this really SUCKS! Of course the package and the cartridge really worth but I still cant believe the price of this press kit now is in the heaven!

  • @Gridseeker Surprisingly, it's actually gone down since I last checked it. If Capcom isn't careful, it's gonna start killing its fan base...I hardly follow Mega Man anymore...it's been going to shit although the 9 & 10 might be decent. I still can't bring myself to buy a digital file for WII.

  • @TheNabsta Not only with Megaman, Capcom also screwed up the Resident evil franchise with the movies and RE 4.

  • You've got to be fucking kidding me....all that money for this piece of shit that has a bunch of shitty Jpgs that look like you could have found them online when the internet first became popular, and it doesn't even have the game....Capcom kinda pisses me off right now.

  • Thank you very much for posting this! You were very thorough and it was very fun to watch. It was like opening my own! It was so cool when I saw "Mega Man 9" on the cartridge when you first opened the box. It brought me back to all of those unboxings of NES games from my childhood.

    Great vid. Again, thanks!

  • WTF???? I thought it was a NES game... I would have never payed $99 plus shipping for that then. And for those people saying not to open it, I pity you... I opened a Mega Man X Collection a few months ago even though I knew its value ($100). But who the fuck cares, the games' are fun as hell, especially because I got to play Mega Man X2 and X3, those games are expensive as shit!

  • @Ladomendigo why are you so mad?

  • Where are the connector pins or whatever so it can be played on the NES? Are they even included?

  • but will it let u play it on a ps3 or sommin?

  • A total must have... some day....

  • Only thing missing is an instruction manual!

  • and a sleeve

  • Are you joking? There asbolutely weren't 400-600 made.

I had signed in to buy it the day they came out - when the page loaded I was in the midst of purchasing it - they were sold out before I could check out.

Ended up buying it on ebay for 150 this past December =D

Love it! I hope they do the same thing for Megaman 10.

  • by the way there were about 500 or 600 of the released to the public, because capcom forgot to takw the link down in time.

  • I'd known about this, I sure as hell would have bought 2, one to keep sealed and one to open, but by the time I came along they were all sold out.

  • am i the only one here that sure as hell wouldnt sell it. and would definetly open it, whats the point of getting something if all you do is stare at the box it comes in? you're just gonna torture yourself by waiting 20 years for 5000 dollars.

  • 0:37 You just took 75% of it's value away 5 years from now. :P

  • maybe he got 2 of them and opened one, lol I doubt it.

  • he got 3 of them

  • LMFAO @ 0:38 he just throws away $5k!! Believe me, in 20 years, sealed copies will sell for $5k. There were only about 200 of these made. Wish I had one. If I did, I sure as FUCK wouldnt open it. WOW......this video is as bad as watching animals getting abused.

  • Well you have to think about this.

Maybe he never plans on selling it.

I know I personally wouldn't open it either, but if he is just enjoying it, then it is his decision.

I doubt i would ever sell one if I had one.

  • im so envious, they go for freakin $144-$881 on ebay. by the time i was told about these they were sold out. i wanna shoot myself. i really do. i grew up on megaman. he can kick mario sonic and any other video game characters ass anyday. i want one D:

  • i have one i framed it but opeing it ruins it now its not worth as much

  • Why open the box ????? collectors better don't watch this...

  • any hardcore megaman fan would cum over this 0.o

  • Thanks a lot for showing us the content of the press kit ^^

I was starting to think it was just an empty box xDD

  • you may have ruined your press kit by opening it but you made us all happy, i cant stop watching this. I WANT ONE!!!!!!

  • Does this have the game on it too or just promotional stuff?

  • Thanks for showing everything dude!

  • its cool and lame at the same time, i can imagine the other 199 people that bought it tryin to shove it in theyre NES

  • idiot.

  • hey thanks a lot for this vid!

  • It would have been awesome if they could have put an actual game in the NES cart to put MM 9 on the NES

  • Thats what I throught it was at first.

  • and what are you going to play, "open the word document game" or "check the empty folders game"?

  • Megaman 9 like I suggested you idiot.

  • I think one shouldn´t get this if he doesn´t want to open it up. I mean it creates the atmosphere of 1985(or the following years^^) only if you open it up(I opened mine after 4 hours of NES gaming with a friend). Just an awesome little thingy... even though it´s actually a nonworking NES game without a manual XD

  • I've got one! Hell no that I am opening mine ;)

  • Oh... Nevermind...

  • Wha-

Mega Man 9 exists for the actual NES? Where the hell did you get this?!

  • only collector scum douchbags who still live in their parents house and will never get laid say not to open it.

I applaud you for doing the right thing, opening it, and actually being able to enjoy it.

  • Actually, if i knew the content was so, ermm... "like that", i would've never opened it. It's not the game, just shitty docs and pics that you can find anywhere, what could you "enjoy".

You open it, see it, and 40 min later it becomes "toilet literature", or you can get a couple hundreds (or even more) just for not opening it.

  • @sabbat666 only if you have 2 of them is when you shouldn't open it

  • whre did you get that

  • I find it odd. Lots of people say not to open it... However, some people will open it because they probably didn't just get the press kit just to keep it sealed, and be put on display. And true, the content of everything on the disc is on the internet. Although, it seems hard to see the actual NES cartridge inside that sealed box, so people may open the box just to see the cartridge itself too. I dunno, I just think collectors are weird in a way.

  • what a wast of money

  • NOOO lol

    Why did you opened it

    lol cool

  • crap i wish i knew the right way to open it. i still got the stickers on the box without the rap. i wasnt going to open it but the thought of it unopened killed me as much as not opening it

  • sorry for the double post. but when i opened mine i put the stickers back on the box and they stick pretty well just becareful if you peel it off.

  • Yes, I can understand that, I was in the same situation. I realllllllllllyy wanted to see what was inside, but at the same time, I didn't want to open it at all. I guess it's safe to say to all people who really wants to open their Press Kit, that it doesn't worth it. You will - most likely - regret it shortly after. It's really just an old NES cart with a Mega Man 9 sticker on it and the bonusses on the disc are useless and you can find them all on the internet.

  • @transparencypro the price tag is there because its to look authentic like an old nes box and thats a nes cart that they recycled

  • You're not supposed to open it. lol

  • COOL

  • It would have been awesome if on the presskit they put a slot to store an sdcard on as being a WiiWare game you could put MegaMan9 on the SDcard so it could of been an awesome idea. (Unless you owned the PS3 or XBOX360 version) (I don't acttaly care for the presskit as I never owned a nes (I do own MegaMan9 though) but still would have been a good idea for those who had it)

  • NiCe !!!

  • Hehe, I saw you bought one on ebay? Do you plan to open it?

  • Well now when you are saying you think it's not re-wraped and the other youtube guy says it is. I don't know what i am going to do. But if you also think it's has been re- wraped after reading the post from him i am going to check if the press kit itself is in the box, because if he has re- wraped the box he could also have taken out the press kit and replaced it with another nes game, or something else ahhhh i am very sad right now

  • I certainly understand your anxiety (is this the right word?). I don't think there is anything alarming though. The fact that there is no price tag on the box opens suspicions but maybe it just fall off... I send you pictures of my Press Kit in PM, so when you got yours, you will be able to compare it and see if it's legit or not. At least, if it's actually resealed, you will feel less bad to open it !

  • I just purchased my second press kit which does not have price tags, so maybe there was in fact a small batch that didn't have them.

I'd keep it in the seal.

  • Thank you for the update, earlier today i spoke to a guy who says that not all of them have stickers. So maybe we have not been cheated. Where did get the second one ?

  • I got my second one on eBay :)

  • Yeah okay ;) eBAY is a nice place, congrats with it

  • It Gives me the chills to watch this
