nice man. I just bought at 04 rubicon with 400 original miles and I hate the full time 4wd. How has the 4x2 selector worked for you? have you had any issues with it? just curious

@MrJakediesel D2 means "drive 2" which is a setting on the transmission for more torque. I never felt a difference between D1 and D2 on mine though, I usually just leave it in D1.

i also have an 01 that i blew the front gearcase in and i was talking to my father about the 424 unit and he was saying that if you took the 4wd out part time and ran the 424 unit then that would blow the back gearcase

my dad has the same rubicon as the one in this video, it has over 18,000 km on it and we've never had to touch the motor, just normal maintenence

holy crap we have the same fourwheeler except mine is jetted and has a clutch kit i have that thing to make it go in and out of fourwheel drive on the left side and i have a procircuit exhaust and ss rims

the switch was 320ish and me and my dad installed it, hardest part was compressing the spring. It replaces the solid drive shaft going to the front differential

I had a 03 it was the best bike i ever had. i replaced it with a rubicon. Yeah the Rubicon is fast and rides nice buut has no balls with big tires. I went out and got a 06 Rubicon i love it

we know some people who have a 01 model and they use it mostly for work. it gets used about at least once or twice a week. hours and miles unknown but there are quite a few. half of its miles have probably literly been spun (getting stuck)

i have the exact same model but with 27" swamp witches. im woking on getting a pipe and a 2x4 4x4 switcher. but mine has about 6200 miles on it so it doesnt look quite as good as yours. ill post up some videos soon

26x9 front, 26x11 rear yea it will spin them no problem and the pipe helped it alot with the pipe and jet kit, it will pull wheelies on flat ground now with the pipe, it wouldnt befor

oh cool yea those are some pretty knobby tires the executioners, its an hmf penland with just an hmf jet its not aftermarket needles or anything, just 5 more keihen on the main jet, and it still doesnt burn any oil even when im dogging it

there alright there not really for what kind of riding i do but for some reason they seem to keep up decently well but dude my rubi is stock cept for those tires and mine will stand strait up in any gear range

when you let off the gas does it still slow you down

oh  yea the pipe doesnt really affect the way the transmission slows it down i rarely use brakes going down hill even in drive itll maintain a speed of about 6 maybe a little slower so yea it didnt hurt the engine braking
