phil X is nothing compared to Andy. Phil X just basically plays while andy actually demos the guitar and shows you all the sounds that you can get from a particular guitar (or can't get). Plus i like andy's demos better cuz you don't hear phil x's annoying ass singing.

Never say "Never" my friend. Just last year i felt the same way, and i kept on playing my mexican strat through my cheap fender 25w. practice amp and dreaming of the real deal. Well, it turns out the good Lord blessed me with a better job than i had before and i started putting money away saving EVERY penny i could, the WHOLE time so i could buy a good strat, and now my only worry is weather to get a USA strat deluxe or a USA standard and use the remaining cash for a better amp, Keep at it Bro.

Nice. I think that is one of the most musical, natural sounding strats I've heard from Fender in a real, real long time.

Not to mention it looks similar to one of David Gilmour's strats.

I like the use of Alnico 5 magnets. They provide a little more punch and edge than Alnico 2 magnets like I have in my Lindy Fralin Real 54 pups.

I bet the hand-wound pu's help alot. I'd recommend an Alnico 3 magnet for those classic 50's tones, if that's what you were going for when you got the 54's. But yea, I like Alnico 5's myself. :)
