thats the american spec, for some reason alot of european cars from the 70's /80's had to have huge like you said "ugly looking bumpers" fitted to them, to pass whatever safety requirements were in place.

Hi, I have H&R blue springs there with M-Technic (Bilstein B6) dampers. The car is about -60/-40mm lower. The weels are BBS RS 8x16(et11) and 10x16 (et11). thanks for comment

The engine sounds cold. My 730i also makes the ticking valve noise when it's cold.
