the silencer does nothing but quiet the bike down, the baffle is what screws up your engine if you take it out.

dumbass. the baffle makes the bike quieter. the only problem you could have from taking that out is a backpressure issue. so your not doing any harm unless there is no silencer at all.

ok, i called honda and they said the insert for the baffle is just a silencer to quiet the bike down. but the baffle (spark arrestor) is to keep the bike from spitting fire, creating sparks that create fire, and from burning your pistons up. without the baffle it's way too loud and it screws up the bike.

yea thats true the baffle controls the back preassure of the motorcycle and if you dont have the propper back preassure and you push the bike it can blow... defiantly not the best idea to take the baffle off

its in the carb,

the main jet, it controls the gas to air ration into the carb, if you get performance exhaust, the engine might run to lean so you need to all ow more gas through so you might get a bigger main jet

not true. 4 strokes arent lower maintainence. they are either more or equal. treat your bike well. it can be equal and maybe less. 2 strokes are WAY cheaper to maintain the 4 strokes. 4 strokes are jsut gas and go.

4 strokes arent faster then 2 strokes. its all about your bike set up and how fast the rider is. you may have the fasteest bike. but you dont got the skill to ride it fast without crashing.
