Wow what a cutting edge video game. I even remember how bad it sucked back then. It was the kind of game you wasted one quarter on and then never, ever again.

Now the sequel, Discs of Tron was fucking awesome, I played the shit out of that one.

If anyone remembers the light cycle at level 4, the way to win was just to make a box =D I loved that game, and would still want to buy the arcade stand up if I had the room for it.

I was 10 years old when this movie came out, saw it in a freaking Drive-In theater with my parents. Sat on top of the roof of my Step Dads old Old Brown Cutlass (thing was a boat.) I remember freezing my ass off. Was great fun though, totally worth it.

Today's generation is getting robbed of fun. : )

There are patterns to each challenge and each level, I played that game so much back then I still remember it nearly 30 years later.

1-Tank, hang out at the top left and keep shooting, can't hit you 2-Cone-Stay in the right hand corner and just keep shooting, try and destroyed every block you can until there are no more and you will ascend automatically and I think get a free life. 3-Bike is just the way he did it, the letter P. 4- Spiders-like the cone, do it QUICK.

It's actually one of the harder games out there... there's a lot of memorization involved in playing the game. If you don't know the pattern for the next light cycle board coming up, you're dead. If you don't know what tank board is coming up next, you're dead. On some of the grid bugs stages, if you don't start it off just right and time and aim your first 3 shots, you're dead.

But, yeah... it's a really fun game, in my opinion.

Like others in here. I played Trons games to death back in the day. I still have an Intellivision system w/ the voice system to this day. It sits next to my PS 3 80g, PS II and Wii system. Nothing beats old school when you were there playing it back in the day ;)
