  • could you please give me a detailed breakdown of your 9mmAR set up? Thanks, Jim

  • nice video i didn't know your were in IN

  • good job on explanations to q&a on this video!keep on having fun!

  • Note, full auto is defined as more than one round fired with a single pull of the trigger. This rubber band method does not allow this. In reality the rubber band does not allow automatic fire, it just allows the trigger to reset very quickly. If he was to just hold the trigger back with the rubber band installed, he would only fire one shot. The trigger must be reset for each shot.

  • So, if I built a device that consisted of some sort of reciprocating clamp that did the job of pulling the trigger and a button would activate said device at a high rate of speed, is this considered an illegal device?

  • Fully automatic is one FULL pull of the trigger causing full automatic fire, a full trigger pull is pulling it back and holding it back, which if you do so will not work to bump fire since the trigger must return forward. Since the trigger returns forward this is by law and technicality is considered semi-automatic, since it requires the manual manipulation of the trigger. Stop telling him his videos are illegal.

  • If you could pull the trigger as fast as you could bump fire there would be no legality issues. Bump firing is the same as having super speed fingers, not illegal. If you think it is illegal you are a moron and a pussy honestly. Most of the time when you bump fire around a police officer or anyone involved with guns, they cheer, clap, and or laugh.

  • .....if you want to find out real quick, show up at your DNR range with one rigged up and unload a clip when a Federal agent is within earshot.

You go right ahead, smart guy.

  • I have demonstrated this to an ATF agent, who was at the gun shop/ shooting range I work at. He did not kill my dog or set fire to the shop. Nor did he confiscate my weapon for being a machine gun. I have taken all of the necessary steps in assuring viewers that this technique is not illegal. The reason why it is not illegal is because this technique can be done with or without a rubber band!

  • @NineMMAR15 the reason why it is legal is because, no matter how you do it (with rubber band or without) YOU the shooter are stilling pulling the trigger each time. Automatic fire is defined as more than one round per trigger pull. Oh and BTW, I have never seen two ATF agents that can agree on anything. Put them all in a room and one of them will swear up and down your gun is illegal. fishwagon has a point and you really dont wanna make a habit of showing the ATF your guns and mods to them.

  • @fishwagon I'm afraid you are incorrect here fishwagon.. The rubber band "bumpfire" does not violate the Class 3 weapons control act. This does not alter the weapon in any way. What it DOES do is waste ammo but if you are out to have fun, it's fine. If you will recall the crank device that attaches to a typical .22 caliber Ruger 10/22 is sold openly and usable by anyone and is not a controlled device by the ATF. I am a former rangemaster and long time police officer.

  • @fishwagon - your reasoning is that one depression of the trigger for one shot is a class 3 weapon just because it shoots faster. So will the federal government outlaw Jerry Miculek's trigger finger? Because he can dump 9 rounds out of a 1911 in less than two seconds. So will th ATF outlaw practice and natural skill coupled with a fine tuned trigger group? that is an absurd notion

  • @fishwagon OMG! what part of this don't you understand.

Rapid fire doesn't mean automatic fire. 9MMAR15 has clearly demonstrated that he can bumpfire without the rubber bands. BATF does not regulate rates of fire.

Why don't you believe anyone ever contacts the BATF. Many people have registred short barrled rifles including 9MMAR15, so that means he has had contacted the BATF. The BATF clearly states that automic fire is defined as firing 2 or more rounds per singular trigger pull.

  • @fishwagon

This guy is "trolling". I always watch your vids dude.. good job. keep em' up. Show off some guns NineMMAR15

  • Like I SAID: Write or call the ATF and ask them if the rubber band qualifies as a modification device to produce automatic fire, and you will get a explaining how your theory is wrong and how you have created a class III weapon. Ive seen the letter. You should write the ATF, or google it and you will find out how your definition will land you with a felony.

.....and Ill guarantee you'll think twice about doing videos of You Tube about the subject. If you want to find out real quick

  • I really don't have time to correct you on what you think you know. All I can say is go to the ATF website/Firearms/Rulings. Look under ruling 2006-6. It does not mention rubber bands. The phone calls have been made, the letters have been written with no response.

If you are going to claim to know something then provide proof! Other wise stop spamming my videos with your accusations.

  • Rubber band qualifies he rifle as a class III weapon as soon as it is on the trigger.

Dont believe me? write the ATF, and ask them.

  • Wrong! Like the Hellstorm trigger device installing a rubber band on a semi-automatic rifle acts as an external trigger return spring!

I have contacted the FTB several times by letter asking them to classify the installation of a rubber band on a semi auto firearm. It seems they have refused to answer me, because they don't want this to be legal.

If the ATF FTB ever rule that this is illegal then all semi-auto will be illegal due to having a trigger return spring!

  • @fishwagon Shut the fuck up and get off of this page you idiot.

  • Wait you say you use 9mm because it is cheaper than .223? Where on earth do you get that Idea? .223 Is abou t50% the cost of 9mm. where are you getting your ammo?

  • How is $0.23 per round of 223, a better buy than $0.15 per round of 9mm? Where are you buying your ammo?

  • Well My brother just purchased 1000. rounds of .223 Ammo at about Half the Price fo 9mm. I will have to find out where he got it and let you know!! I just got the 9mm setup for my AR15 and of course I had the .223 and 7.6 So if you can get 9mm ammo that cheap Let me know where. I will get 2k rounds for sure man!! I apprecieate your quick replies!! And LOVE your page man!! Kudos& Props!! Very cool man!!

  • The rubber band worked for me!

  • Only seen a shortage of .223 in the first few months. The main reason for shortages in stores as the wholesalers are selling tons at the gun shows. I have never seen them out of ammo at the shows but damn they bring a ton. The only shortages are off normal rounds like .303 or mouser etc. Efforts to make other rounds is having these sit to the side for loading later.

  • You're wise to stay away from the .223. Between the never ending wars this country is involved in and the efforts of our peace loving president we are guaranteed an ammo shortage for the forseeable future.

  • You're kidding right? The .223 is the least expensive centerfire rifle ammo you can buy. Its currently readily available.

Sure, your favorite steel cased Russian ammo may not be available at this very moment at your favorite dealer.

But if you buy what you need when it is in stock, or maybe consider buying brass cased ammo. Then its plentiful.

  • does the rubber band trick really work all the time on the ar and will it work on an ak style or other semi rifles

    thank you in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • do you think a .22 tactical rifle will have enough recoil to bump fire?

  • Can you bump fire a stock glock pistol? Do you plan a doing a video using a glock or other semi auto handgun?

  • Yep.....check out episode 6

  • What rear sights are on your m4 in the back ground?

  • An Aimpoint - or some variation thereof. Aimpoints are the CCOs that the Army uses.

  • Well your m4 looks bad ass I have a stag arms model 3h and I am putting everything I can on it.. Do you carry yours every where you go?

  • No...... If I have to use a gun to defend myself I use a handgun.

  • ARMS Low profile flip up.

  • I just paid $489 for 1000 rounds of M855 5.56 and I'm not about to waste it bump firing to impress my faggot friend weaponeer.

  • That is your own damn fault for over paying for 223/5.56! Apparently you didn't shop around! They still have Lake City 5.56 locally here for $310.00 out the door.

  • 223 and 5.56 are NOT the same ammo. If you have a 5.56 weapon you can use 223 ammo. If you have a 223 a 5.56 will fit but the pressures are different. This CAN be unsafe. There is a lot of miss information and to many people think they are the same when they are different. I dont know if you know that or not but they way you had it on your post just made it look like hey were the same.

  • Yeah, i can shoot 1000rds over the weekend. just for that i'll burn up 1200rds in ferrets memory.

  • hey man Good Vid thank you. Hit me up on my new vid let me know what you think about this gun and what would be the best way to bump fire it just for show.

  • youve got good videos, the combat scenario question you seem to answer it in a very specific scenario-against one bad guy. what do u think about the effectiveness of bump firering in ww3 type scene or an invasion were civilians could protect themselves from several armed troops? under these circumstances would it be more effect to just semi shoot or bump fire if ammo was in abundant supply ? ive got a 223ar15 how long does it take to be good at bump fire ing it ? how expensive ammo wise?thanx

  • first a civilian has no real training besides what he trains for and armed troops train for this very scenario. my advise is to train- Frontsight- will make a safer and much better shooter and combatant. bumpfiring is for fun not for function, hope this helps.

  • Great videos man!!

  • thanks for you time and effort. Great videos.

  • rock river arms rock!!!! (no pun intented)

  • I have a DPMS 7.62x39 AR15 with a stock trigger. Have you changed out your triggers for match triggers or are you using stock?

  • I have a JP Industries reduced power hammer and trigger spring kit. AKA the Yellow Spring Kit.

  • 6:00 i was taught from my pistol instructor to shoot till the threat to my self ceases to exist if that means one round then its one if its 30 its 30 and in extream cases you might have to reload and apply another clip

  • Very true, however if you are faced with a jury of 12 soccer moms, the prosecutor will have little problems making you look like a trigger happy crazy person.

  • precisely why I would never use my M4A3 for home defense

  • Can you bump fire a 1o/22?

  • Yes the ruger 10/22 can be bumpfired in the same mannor as what I do with my 9mm AR15. However you may have to reduce the weight of the gun, and the weight of the trigger pull.

  • Good job, Thanks!

  • agreed viper...

  • Nice informative video. Common sense in a world with so little.

    Cheers!

    Al

  • Great videos man!

  • SUPER INF!!! THANKS YOU

  • Dude, you are a very nice guy, I've enjoyed watching your videos, and you are also very intelligent in the since that you are making sure you don't get into a bind, if you ever find yourself in a personal defense sitiuation. I appreciate your info and hope to see you continuing to make good video's. God Bless.

  • Hey nice info, Speeking of harassment though I have had the local Sheriff called on me once, Luckly I knew the guy and he allowed me to explain then show him exactly what I was doing. He wanted to try but he was on duty at the time so he couldnt. lol anyway Nice youtube site.

  • I had some called on me before too.once he saw what I was doing he couldnt resist trying it he loved it to, and told me to have fun and be safe.

  • thanks for the info, i figured the rubberband wasn't that important.

  • will this work with a 10/22

  • Can i do this with an AK ??

  • IS your DVD still coming out?

  • I still have plans on doing a informational DVD. However I have not been able to finsh it due to current finances!

  • what state are you from

  • Indiana

  • Great vid! Thanks!

  • is it easier to bump fire with the rubber band

  • The rubberband helps reset the trigger quicker. It helps but is not nessasary!

  • wat is the price on 9mm in the usa?

    here in Norway its ca 75centr a pice(9mm) and 45acp is 1$ a pop

but supressors are sold to annyone even a 5yare old kid withoute anny restrictions at all. but no fullauto guns for cevilians exept som licensed colectors but no use of them

    brg surpdrill

  • I get a box of 100 9mm for about 18 bucks.

  • Thank's never even hurd of bump fire! Seen your video so I tried got it fast! Oh nice weapon's! I'm using the tac-16 and aac phantom. You should get into reloading just make's it that much more fun!

  • Hell of a job, keep the good videos coming.I will try bump firing soon. Thanks for shedding some light on the legal issues.

  • You live in Indiana? When you were referring to the DNR operated range were you perhaps talking about Atterbury? Just curious, what range do you shoot at in your vids?

  • The videos were shot at Popguns. The DNR owned property that I was refering to was Wilber Wright out in New Castle Indiana.

  • Hay Jason I wonder what, if any damage bump firing might do to a weapon.?

  • I purchased my RRA LAR15 9MM in 2006. I have not had to replace any major parts. My hammer pins and my hammer spring broke once.

  • Thanks, Jason, for clearing things up for us; very informative! We look forward to more of your videos...

  • Ive been looking for good advice on youtube for the longest. Its so frustrating when I click a video and its about some losers airsoft. Thanks for making these helpful videos and episodes. Keep up the great work

    JP (subscriber)

  • I purchased an Akins Accelerator when they first came out. Then I had to send my spring to the BATFE. My technique is the exact same thing as his stock. The BATFE has not came after me because they can't confiscate the muscles in my forearm!

  • ................YET!

  • Great Q&A I'm just learning the technique on my 10/22 its a blast. Whatdo you guys think about the atkins accelerator? Looks like it works well but the ATF nailed him after they gave him the ok. Then they changed there minds or something to that effect.

  • thanks for the info man. good work.

  • My Cetme, which has a trigger similar to your MP5 bumpfires like a champ. My Bushmaster doesn't seem to want to though. Any suggestions?

  • I have the JP Endustries reduced power hammer and trigger spring kit.

  • Does the kit effect the firing pin strike any? I use cheapo ammo when im blastin through a bunch like that. I've had problems with my Glock not detonating primers with this ammo.

  • LOL! For a second I though he said "I would not want to have to explain why I had to unload 30 rounds into the black guy."

Anyway bump firing with my Ruger 10/22 is really cool!

  • Your MP5 SBR rocks!! Is it an HK or a clone? Real HK SBR's now cost what full autos did just a few years ago. I take it that you don't have much trouble getting the LE signoff for your NFA transfers?

  • Jason,

Excellent work for the average man who can't afford a fully automatic machine gun. Keep up the great work. Have you tried your techniques on any other semi-automatic weapons?

  • A subscription is a must here. Allways a 5/5 here from Norway :-)

  • Very well put together bro. We need to shoot togther one day!

  • You know my number! Call me, and I'll bring the toys up.

  • The DNR range you were talking about isn't Wilbur Wright, is it? Cause I just now realized you were from Indiana...

  • That would be the one!

  • That's where we shoot... DNR pretty much knows us by now, and doesn't give us much trouble. At one point he got upset and threatened to kick us off the range because my buddy ripped off 5 or 6 shots on the 50yard with an SKS. After calling someone wearing a 1st Marine Division shirt a stupid kid, we kinda had our doubts about going back... but it's normally okay, now. I always thought the range you were on looked a LOT like Pop's Guns, now I guess it makes sense.

  • lol its funny how dumb some ppl are but dude your one tight son of a bitch. ya and .223 is hella expensive because the militarty is buying it all so they jack up the price. i cant get 308 for cheap lololoolooo

  • Looks like great fun; will definitely try after buying my first AR-15 soon, if only to impress the little woman. Wondering - does the vertical grip make a big difference? Thanks!

  • Helps me out alot!

  • dude you can get a 22 lr conversion kit for an ar 15 witch are alot cheaper than 9mm

  • Dude I have a ceiner 22LR conversion for my AR15. Can't bumpfire 22LR in a AR15 though! Not enough rear ward recoil!

  • That was informative. Now I need to find a range that'll let me bumpfire in NOVA.

    Thanks

  • Nice, I've been watching a lot of your videos. I'm about to put together my first AR-15 (16" M4 style) and I'd like to try bump firing it at some point, but probably not more than a few times just for fun. But like you said .223/5.56 ammo isn't cheap. I'll get a 9mm upper at some point.

    Thanks for the vids.

  • Well done....

I get many of the same questions.

I also have the same issue with my V51 (MP5 sized .308)
