Willy! It's been a while, for sure, but I'm glad to say it was worth the wait. :) I just watched both of your painting vlogs you have up so far, and I'd have to admit I nearly jumped up with joy when I checked my subscriptions and saw that you had uploaded something. I really like how detailed the scales are, shows a lot of patience. I think a rocky terrain is a good idea. I think the sky should keep the sort of light color it has but have the clouds swirling around in a circle, centered on the battle. That give an epic element to it.

You've got a great way with color and proportion! I love hearing your voice and watching your digital creation.  I'm an oil painter and I don't even want to touch digital paint because I didn't want to deviate from the conventionalism of the canvas but you make it look so stunning and attractive that I've changed my mind:)

I just wanted to comment and say that you are such an amazing artist; it boggles the mind. There's usually one moment for me where the painting comes alive. I'll look away for a second, and you'll have added one detail, one shadow, and the painting just jumps to life. It's always exciting to wait for that moment, but I always get caught off-guard by it. I'm really happy that you're painting again!

What if you did the mountain but had a dragons cave, and the dragon's cave have like different colored lights coming from it? Also, what if you put jewels on the dragons chest and stomach? A lot of times it is said that a dragon puts jewels there to protect itself.

hey, i was wondering, why is the dragon made out of such varying colors?

is this some form of the dragons colors? such as a design on the dragon, or is this more based on the lights and darks- the natural colors?

brining the main character forward and coloring him blue, and having a warm colored dragon in the background- isn't that going to flatten your image? warm colors tend to come forward and cold colors go back. is this what you are looking for?

i would make the overall atmosphere darker, then add fire somewhere in the composition. It would add a very dramatic lighting effect. Lots of cool reflections can be played with, with the sword, the hero's semi-shiny clothing, etc.
