As I child I fondly recall saving an entire weeks wage, earned at the steel mill, to spend on games of chance as well as a peculiar confection known as cotton candy. Although I rightfully respect your opinion "chevysmash", it would please me beyond measure if you would refrain from being so hasty as to insult my fair city.

The Festival of Yams, for example, is a grand affair held annually on the week preceding All Hallows Eve. Its many events come as welcomed distractions from our often dull and tiresome lives. Numerous affairs take place including a grand ball of which many of the privileged youth attend dressed in formal attire. A grand parade is held, which mostly consist of the more lowly citizens proudly displaying their various forms of transportation.

chevysmash, though I shall agree that Upshur County is lacking in various forms of entertainment, I do not believe you are just to declare that someone should perish as a result. If one is so inclined, there are many local traditions that nearly all can find part in.
