@xTheUDAx it does work, i just did it, what you should do is, go on a youtube video, find the one you want to download, press Command ALT and A at the same time and your activity bar will come up, under the youtube page will be a list of things about the web page, double click the line that has a big size, over a couple of MB because that will be the video, and then when it downloads, edit the name so it has .flv after it, then when thats done, open it with perian, and it opens in quicktime :)

Once the File has been downloaded to your Desktop, or where ever you place it ... you must CHANGE THE FILE NAME TO INCLUDE an FLV extension.

if you're on a mac, you don't have to download any new app to download youtube videos, or convert them.

you can download them with safari, there is a youtube video on how to do it.

you just have to add the high quality code &fmt=18 to the url before you do it and it will download as a high quality mp4.

and you can also download high definition videos as well, just add the HD code &fmt=22 to the url

and it works with windows as well, as long as you use safari.
