I think she looks great. Considering the surgery she had to undergoe, and the damage the gunshot initially did to her...I think she looks great. She's talking, she's eating, she seems to be doing really well. I'm so happy for her, and I wish nothing but the best for her. It may not be the same face she used to have, but I think she basically just wanted a face. She said she wanted to look human again, and she definately does. When the flaps are finally removed, she'll look completely normal.

when I heard about this on the radio, i expected much worse. I am glad to see that the transplant is not only distinguishable as a face, but functional. I expect that the followup surgeries will improve the cosmetic and speech aspects even more. Good to see some good news every once in a while. Kudos to the doctors.
