  • Audio is shit

  • @WingTsunPanda lol.. ok buddy. I am sure WC has some good points. The blocking looks nice. I unfortunately have used BJJ and MT in street fights. It usually starts with a knee to the groin then a submission choke. I really got nothing ot prove by fighting your WC master.. if I beat him, I wont feel cooler or stronger and if he beats me.. I hope I would learn something from the experience. I am sorry if I offended you, but I just stated what I perceived, which many people also agree with. Osss!!!

  • @WingTsunPanda "ignorant"?.. do you know what that word means? I am a martial artist I train 6 days a week for the past 4 years!!! Been studying Karate, Judo, BJJ, boxing and Muay Thai (also body building) since 1992. So how can I be "ignorant" about martial arts? LOL... anyways. Did I tell you how my boy in Toronto who took Wing Chun for a while and I brought him to my BJJ/Muay Thai school for one class and he never went back to his Wing Chun gym again?!!!! lol. I rather take TKD than WC.

  • you guys just shut up.

when mouth shuts, the mind opens.

  • come on if people want to communicate to each other replies just add each other on fb or something to discuss whatever..

  • Great point about 'chasing hands.'

  • @DizzyDerwish thanks

  • @DizzyDerwish

It's not called 'way of the intercepting fist' for nothing. ^-^

Great demonstration guys, thanks for sharing.

  • @Noc7urn4l

Why do you allude to Bruce's break-off style?

The rest of us are meeting here to discuss & analyze authentic Wing Chun.

  • @DizzyDerwish

Sorry, sleep deprivation has a tendency to blend things together. When I was practicing Wing Chun at the Red Lotus School of Movement, I observed that almost every technique was designed to intercept, redirect, or circumvent an attack. Why wait for an attack to reach you before anything is done about it, meet it and disperse it. Open the gates of the offender using multiple application techniques. At least, that's how I was instructed. YMMV. Thanks for sharing

  • Sounds fucked.

  • is that cantonese?

  • Do you people know where this "Triangle Theory" came from? Yip Man was part of the Illuminati. DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE!

  • Very good

  • if you think you can beat wing chun with a side kick, watch " Ip Man " . lol, a side kick beat wing chun, maybe if you were a tae kwon do black belt and the other dude was a wing chun practitioner for like 3 days.

  • Seriously, the Echo FX Suxxxxx, but stiLL, weLL Worth da Watch?

I LUV how da "haterzzzz" Criticise, but we don't see those Morons putting on a Video with FuLL Sincerity?

Wing Chun is not just about Lower body, it CAN be Modified & Adapted

Think, from the waist Up, like a Paraplegic from the Lumbar down

Master the Rest, above da Waist, the Stance is TOO Restrictive

Unless, you can adapt it to your Speed, that's why Bruce Modded with the Fencing Sidewayzzzzzzzz Stance, to free up Movement....

  • I'm sorry, but the sound is too muffled to be heard. Would you consider doing an all-new, most updated video on the Triangle Theory? Looking forward to one coming soon! :)

  • Yo my man, your wing chun ideas are cool, but you do not display them on this video. I really don't understand you should show your skills in real fights< and not posing

  • please post a vid of you against other styles free fighting

  • whats up with mma people and challenging the validity of people who study schools of martial arts. If you have little to no background in a tradition, its very rude. The boasting is also unnecessary- heres another thought- are you teaching someone or are you simply an overconfident STUDENT?

  • If I fought a guy with that square stance, I would side kick him or push kick them into oblivion. I wish a WC fighter would come to my gym up here in Toronto. Oh please.. please.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude i guess dorks in canada's have a death wish... you have no idea what your up against

  • @hgamer name calling on Youtube.,. your cool and a good warrior I bet.. lol

  • @NinjaWarriorDude Yuppers

  • @hgamer Ahhh.. so you do study BJJ and MT!!! nice... me too.

  • @hgamer lame

  • @hgamer May I please ask how your and why your argument was suddenly directed at our country instead of the individual who posted? Grow up...

  • @hgamer you're a man after my own heart, NinjaWarriorDude would suffer at the hand of my hapkido

  • @NinjaWarriorDude dude people who use wing chun aren't always gonna use a frekaing triangle to defend themselves....or why call it wing chun why not "triangle gung fu"

  • @NinjaWarriorDude so u think u can beat ip man?

  • @jeanoj1995 ??? I don't know. I am 6ft 200lbs. I would like to spar with him or any Wing Chun practitioner.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude i don't know anything about martial arts so i can't comment what's better than what. but are you on here just to gloat that MMA is better than wing chun?

  • @wunderbeast there is nothing really to gloat about. Read my comments carefully.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude ur height and weight doesnt matter to me, btw i dnt think u know him, hes bruce lee's master and died time ago

  • @NinjaWarriorDude Honestly you dont. I mean we both know (I do hope you know this) that its the fighter not the style. so in the hands of a good fighter you guys would get destroyed unless a good fighter from your gym was up. Trust me i come from different BG, and im not biased against styles because i LOVEEEEEE MA in general, but WC has so many theories and practices that STRUCTURALLY and scientifically work. you cant deny anatomy man.....

  • @jeetkunedo117 Where is the best school or person to learn from ??? I totally blow off wing chun but the best martial artist I know strongly endorses it so I'm very interested to see it live!

  • @924142707 man every true martial artist knows that its not the style, and that the teacher can only give you so much. but to answer your question, i wouldnt know you will have to go see the schools around you to see if they are the right ones.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude You're obviously retarded and have no understanding of Martial Arts any martial art can beat another martial art -.- just depends on whos using the martial art

  • @NinjaWarriorDude

it's clearly a triangle stance. you are clearly a square, and clearly fought a square. and wing chun isnt a gym jockey ufc joke art. people dont practice it for pride points or to look cool like your faggotry gym thats full of canook bros. and i mean total offense to your moronic statement. in a real life you would be on the ground with a hand around your throat asking for compassion and mercy.

  • @iamadamantium lol... dude I think you watched the movie "IP Man" a little too much.. lol. "ufc joke art".. sure budz.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude Why don't you go there instead?

  • @NinjaWarriorDude mouth farting on Youtube.,. u're stink and a stray dog f**ker I bet... LOL

  • Uh, one alternative to get around the sound problem is: to put in subtitles! :)

But I guess making a new video is less troublesome, right? :)

    Thanks in advance!

  • @NinjaWarriorDude dude really. sifu lau teaches in canada why dont you ask him to come over to your gym and see how long you last, that side kick wouldnt get any where by the time you were on the ground with a bloody face yelling please stop. lol

  • @NinjaWarriorDude - Of course you would. And of course your opponent would just stand there like a stone and not react to your kick at all. That is why you are the NinjaWarriorDude.

  • @matreyia You finally see the truth.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude a bit like this? watch?v=orFsgA4UJ1c Good luck ninja!

  • @NinjaWarriorDude im from Toronto too where do u train and wat style?

  • @therandompaperclips Muay Thai and BJJ.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude you think wing chun cant defend against your kicks? If it was that easy to do defeat wing chun dont you think it would have been labeled as a ineffective martial art? obviously bruce lee wouldnt have been a legend if you think its that easy

  • @FullXClip00 I am not saying that my kicks will definitely beat his style. I just dont think wing chun is practical in MMA. Well, since MMA is a host of arts, WC is not practical as a sole striking art. I would like to see the top 3 Wing Chun guys fight te 3 top Muay Thai fighters. I bet the MT would win. Thats my argument. FYI, I think GSP and BJ Penn would defeat Bruce Lee, badly.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude thats a good point man which is why bruce lee is also known as the father of MMA and incorporated a lot of wing chun into his own "style" called Jeet Kune Do. As for modern fighters against the late Bruce Lee, nobody could tell due to the difference in time periods

  • @FullXClip00 "Jeet Kune Do takes the core concepts of Wing Chun, Fencing, and Western Boxing".. Jeet Kune Do is in fact a mix of martial arts. Bet you GSP and BJ got better wrestling and BJJ that Bruce. They would take Bruce easily to the ground and end the fight.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude in the streets WC is good... I do bjj muay thai and WC. forget the gym go to the streets and you will see how good WC is. muay thai is also good for the streets but bjj sucks for the streets

  • @holywar911BJJ would definitely suck if your fighting more than one guy on the street. But my last two street fights ended in a rear-naked choke and the other in a guillotine choke. I actually started taking BJJ when I broke my right hand, and wanted to know how to beat somebody without striking them.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude your right....but im from new york. in the streets of new york ppl always roll with boys. if someone sees you trying something on the ground ppl might jump in. so i like WC cuz i stay on my feet

  • @NinjaWarriorDude he'll just break your leg if you tried to

  • @kinstar then he'll use "tiger Claw" technique and rip out my heart, then jump 30 feet in the air onto a roof top and jump from roof top to roof top. and at the end of the movie he would fight Jackie Chan to the death? ..lol

  • @NinjaWarriorDude i think wing chun is sick..even though i think it was invented by a chick, it would woop on a typical wanna be mma fighter from canada..lol..watch the movie (ip man) mma wanna be.

  • @Vanhah yeah, then I'll watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and see how Kung- Fu teaches you how to fly... lol.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude lol this video he's just showing the practicing of ideas- they don't stay in one place in that stance in a real fight. i've seen a fight with a thai kickboxer vs wc guy, the wc guy was way faster. striking to keep him at a distance was pointless, they just danced around until the kickboxer lost patience and came in closer. the second he came in the wc guy destroyed him

  • @NinjaWarriorDude well thats not based on a true story. So thats no longer a valid arguement..lol..thats like saying im gonna watch superman and learn to fly and lift cars. That doesnt even make any sense..lol..i think martial arts and flying are two totally different things.

  • @Vanhah WTF you talking about, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is a true story. Everyone know you can't learn to fly like Superman, you have to been born on planet Krypton... Duh! ..lol

  • @NinjaWarriorDude ok well back to the start of this conversation. A basic kick boxer or MMA or whatever you are would probably loose to a decently experienced practicer of wing chun

  • @Vanhah disagree. If a Muay Thai student who trained for 6 months fought against a Wing Chun student who studied for the same amount of time, The MT student would win. Example. My friend who studied at a Wing Chun school here in Toronto (taught by an Chinese man) even told me that he feels he could beat his master. I watched a class and I felt confident that I could smash him too. Then I invited my friend to my MMA, and he got smashed. From that day he quit his membership at the WC gym.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude Learning to defend/offend at the same as is done with wing chun time really does take a long time; I believe many students are so focused on defensive that they place themselves in a position where they are spending more time trying to protect their center than actually attacking. If they attack, they have no choice but to use standard punches & kicks w/the only difference maybe being chain punches. Therefore, I can understand Y the situation U describes exists

  • I believe WC becomes most effective when attacked by an arbitrary attacker in the street; but when they 'square off' and especially if the attacker has punching/kicking skill, then there is no choice but for this to turn into a slug fest. Unless WC practitioners train like MT practitioners, they will have a tough time in the ring; they need to train offense as much as possible.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude bruce lee trained heavily in wc, get you're facts straight. wc is a very effective style of martial arts and the way its set up to maneuver one is amazing... anderson silva in the ufc actually picked up on it and has done quite well for himself. you seem like a heavy follower in your martial arts/ teaching but you should know by now from you're teaching to have respect for any other art. so already you have failed in your teaching. thus you're fighting could be flawed as well.

  • @KnightingDawn dude I never said Bruce never studiend WC. I actually said Jeet-kun-do got some of its core fundementals from WC. I also didnt mean to disrespect WC, I just stated my opinion on its ineffeciency from my own personal experience. But yes, my fighting is flawed. I somtimes let my left guard down, and I gotta use better foot work ;) Oh yeah, I gotta use more technique in my Jits and my wrestling needs a lot of improvement :D

  • @NinjaWarriorDude my stating of bruce lee was only to open your eyes to the possibilities this art has to offer, and I'm glad you have become nicer over this :] and I'm glad you pick up on things to work on. I hope all goes well for you in your road to happiness and your training as well.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude well Bruce Lee was one...

  • @NinjaWarriorDude - ok dude really!?!?.. u don't kno shyt bout winG chun then.... watch ip man vs honG konG masters part 5;45!!... & tell me if you Go'n side kick!!

  • @TheBoss720 There was a WC man that came to one of my MT classes and when it came time to spar it was quite humorous. He stood square and threw straight short punches. He fought against a MT noob the noob had to show restraint in not hurting him. I had to ask the noob if that was actually WC that his oponent simply coudlnt fight. Not to be rude or confrontational, but I have never witnessed WC being effective in combat against a skiled combatant. I would love to see a video if you can show me.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude i think thats the problem with wing chun, there is no such thing as a "newbie" wing chun practitioner, its either you do it right, or you are dead.. the martial art practice correct posture, correct stance, correct movement, miss one, the whole form collapse

  • @NinjaWarriorDude Bas Ruten talks about winning many fights using a square stance. just do your homework and look for the vid. also,I'm a wrestler, but i think these guys seem to be training for self defense situations not fights so thats gonna be different right off. i would guess it make sense to practice in a more natural position? i.e. standing minding your business at the bus stop and then BAM!! Know what I mean.

  • basic wing chun triangle technique is incredibly misunderstood by most, yet is extremely adept at either closing the gap between you and your opponent or distancing yourself via redirection. It's all about control, and focus. Nicely done explanation!

  • @angellicrequiem thanks

  • Ok i dont get it...... Why are all these people calling you a poser? you obviously know what you are talking about from the description and i cant hear clearly what is said in the video, but from what i SAW it all looked very structured.... What's everyones beef with you???

The only thing i saw that threw me off was the fact that i never seen chi sao where the hands are touching, i thought that was a NO NO in Wing Chun.

  • @jeetkunedo117 it just means i'm doing it right...

  • @jeetkunedo117

Well Jeetkunedo, in many of his videos he disses other sports and previous comments from a while back

by the way, remember me Hgamer? long time no see :)

  • @jeetkunedo117 "chi sao" means sticky hands. when you're touching your enemy's arms, from the resistance you can tell where he wants to move and how to own him

  • @jeetkunedo117 dude of course the hands touch its called sticky hands and that is not because you do it after having a beat

  • nice i like this sport, but there are no places where i live to do wing chun

  • @katanaswordmaster Where do you live?

  • @DrunkenBuddhaFist chicago

  • @hgamer Sorry, the "where do you live?" was actually directed at 'katanaswordmaster' Thanks for the prompt reply though ;-)

  • @katanaswordmaster belgium

  • you are die badest wt or wc trainer the word yoo NOBB

  • @WingTsun86 awesome.. i'm #1

  • you fucking amature you prakticing a very very very uncoreklie wing tsun

  • @WingTsun86 How do u say go fuck yourself noob

  • fucking amature this is no wingtsun this is bullshit you mother fucking poser

  • @WingTsun86 are you that retarded you have to post the same thing twice..... stupid noob

  • @hgamer Hi hgamer, just a bit of advice from one teacher to, I assume, another...

If someone is making comments like WingTsun86 and you are, obviously, thouroughly unimpressed by their 'maturity', you'd be far better off blocking/deleting their comments, (to be fair, I am a computer retard so I am just assuming, as the poster of the video, that you can do that!), than responding with similar bile as this may very well be seen by many to reflect negatively on your person and therefore teaching!

  • @DrunkenBuddhaFist your 100% correct.... best is to actually just ignore it, but i do find it kind of humorous when i tease them back and they cry from it....i'll do more of that in the future.... thanks

  • great vid. especially good given that you are training with a bigger and taller opponent, so the value of keeping your structure strong really comes out in the explanation. Thanks for the helpful tips!

  • what a bullshit is he talking fuckin amature

  • @WingTsun86 hey noob, why don't you balance on your stupid 100/0 stance.. you pussy

  • Interesting video. Audio is pretty hard to understand. But one can still tell you put the time and effort into the study of your art.

Hope you will visit our page as well.

    Thanks

  • i gotta agree with the comment below. I am interested in the video but i had to close the window, turn the volume up, and turn my fan off to understand what was being said. But the commentary in the info box was also helpful.

  • Acoustic treatment or a lavalier mic would help your sound. The audio is unintelligible.

  • maybe if you slow mo it, and get a 4 year old, he can explain it to you

  • Just cause you have a special love for 4 year olds, doesn't mean I do, sicko.

  • sorry, my friend commented under my account.... just ignore it

  • @ReverendNovember stop using other ppl acc's brother lol

  • @ReverendNovember stop using others acc's brother lol

  • @ReverendNovember SPECIAL LOVE WHAT THE HELL WHOS THAT

  • i was just thinking how awesome it would be to have a dojo that isnt an acoustic shit hole =P

  • @TheIbanezGuy Hit me up. I'll build you some acoustic panels.

  • @MueX ..... you should know the sound of a penis in your mouth, right?

  • @hgamer .....haha nice burn ;D Good demonstration in the video, needs better audio though so we can fully understand what your showing. Peace

  • @hgamer I know that sound, mmmmm hawt

  • puto¡¡¡¡

  • It's difficult to hear what he's saying.

  • Audio/visual is good, but in no way will get you beyond proficiency. For mastery you need an interactive instructor.

  • Great points. Hard to hear though. I'll check your other vids. Hope you get the sound issue straightened out... your stuff is worthwhile.

  • glad you liked it

  • Just as I thought, no videos, no picture, no nothing... Why do all the big shot trash talkers never have videos of them doing any of the things they trash talk about? Hes not fat either, where did that come from???

  • I really liked your description of structure and triangle. Very good point about the chum-sau, very well said. Pretty advanced point though, what about discussing the tetrahedron and the stance?

The only thing I disagree with is (right at the very end) leaving that bong sau up and going in for a strike. That should convert to a double forward strike always!

Watching all your vids is really making me want to brave the hour drive through traffic back to my club once a week.

  • spoke too fast, and the sound quality was bad, but the visual part was great as always.

    cheers

  • slide and kick

you got anything to say other than calling people names? Lets get technical at some time.

    You train dude?

  • i got stuff to say i train, i could teach you a thing or two SON. did you miss me? it's been minutes since i talked to you. you havent talked back, are you under a rock? internet warrior??????!?!?!? INTERNET WARRIOR WHO HIDES BEHIND HIS KEYBOARD

  • You train, but it seems you lack a sort of self control. That can be your downfall.

  • you should get a better mic

  • often spoken about but rarely understood and used in wing chun.

i think that is correct, when the syllabus is not organized the class can turn to crap. many things are lost because of this, and if teachers dont know it, their students sure as hell wont.

  • id really like to see this your other vids are excellent but can you try to fix the sound please

  • I didn't catch most of the sound, but I'll try to summarize what I got; can you please comment/elaborate on that?

The torso is the square (hips, shoulders) base of a pyramid, the hand that has contact to the opponents attacking hand is its tip. Seen from above or the side, that pyramid is a triangle. Attacks are deflected by moving the tip or turning the base in a way that the deflected line of attack misses the pyramids base (the body).

  • It's a scientific FACT that the best place to record something is in an empty garage, especially if the person speaks at a low volume.

  • another scientific FACT is that 99% of the people who post comments on other peoples videos are retarded.

  • That was debunked long ago..

  • I hope you do this video over in your backyard or somewhere outside where the sound can be much clearer. Hard to understand and I've been hearing about the triangle theory so I'm interested in this. Please do over.

  • I'm sorry there's too much echo to follow whatever the hek yer saying. I can only watch U visually, and for that it's so dark. Get microphone maybe, or re-dub over your voice.

  • i agreed with vulcan its very hard to hear what u are saying cause of the echo. Perhaps beter lightning for better view or do it during day when sun is shining. And buy mic or instead of using voice use text pieces to follow ur steps.

  • Jum , Jut, may not have 2b used w/ force, however, force is used 2 clear the line + add time. Like PakSau, when ops arm is slapped well off-line, it opens atak line AND give u more time cause ops arm need travel further back. If ops arm is touching ur arm, he can redirect u easier w/ a counter.

  • interesting but very bad sound

  • A transcript would be massive help, if it's not too much trouble. I can't figure out how to work the equalizer. :P

  • The sound quality is far too poor for this video to be useful.

  • bong sau can be applied multiple ways from turns as well as being square on... so it all depends on how and when you catch the force.... if you do go square on however, you should do same foot same side for the bong sau

  • Although it will vary depending on the person, how long do you think it would roughly take for a begginner to become confident at wing tsun.

  • To complete the 10 student grades, you're looking at about 2 years with training 4 or 5 hours per week. This will give you enough time to learn the stuff you need for each grading, whilst allowing you to keep practicing what you have already learnt.

  • 60 years jk

  • hey nice vid good principle..and dont worry about the negative comments..the ignorant give into their ignorance..and 6 figure digits lmao..yes..ofcourse..lol what a tool..(mofotox)

  • Gr8 information. Good demo of some wc fundamentals. The triangle concept, stepping and moving of the body, both vital aspects. Sound demo of bong (or bon) sau. I found that when i cut the bass in the audio and boosted the high and midrange i could hear the comentary better, although it was still a bit hard 2 hear in some points. Thanks 4 posting this, it reminded me of a few aspects i'd forgotten. Keep posting.

  • yeah, just bad timing on my part, got to lazy to fix the audio... and the guy on the other side started mowing his lawn.... but you get the jiss of things

  • what's more queer is that you keep coming to my videos... is that the queerest?

  • The audio on this sucks. Try doing it when the neighbor isn't mowing the lawn. Use a different mic other than the cheap one on your rotten camera, and the setting . . . . , well. This, on top of what everyone else said.

  • if the audio was better.. do you really think you could mentally comprehend what i said.... or would sock puppets and me wearing a barney outfit, make it easier?

  • I am being serious. Take the constructive criticism if you really want people to listen. It's inaudible. But if the Barny thing and the socks would be your solution, then hey, by all means, it would be entertaining at least. But I see you would rather have pouty attitde then care if anyone can comprehend this jumble.

  • dude, i'm being serious also.. but here's a tip... just below the video.. next to the time, is this bar, if you put it towards the alarm, the volume goes higher

  • Doesn't help, the signal/noise-ratio stays the same. Even if the rest of thekimbas comment is pure and unnecessary trolling, he's right with one point: The audio really *is* next to not understandable.

  • thanks

  • Great explaination! I wish you could demonstrate or make a video of Triangle Theorea in actual fighting situations as opposed to starting from the traditional way. 5 stars!!!

  • there's allot of request for many things, and i'm trying to organize it all... you will see at least a 10 to 12pt series about 10 minutes long each, going into details of every aspect of wing chun.

  • Oh, I can't wait. Thank you very much for your videos!

  • The ultimate request will be for you to go back to your sifu and learn many more years before you are really ready to teach! Oh where are those full length wall to wall mirrors so you can admire yourself all the time? Spare us with your all your fancy talks. How come you can't apply any do on your sifu?

  • thanks again for your comments mo, how come you can't do anything else then type :) ? well, at least that's a skill, sorta.

  • You have the skill for a job that pays over 6 figures? I think not. But I do. May be in addition to going back to your sifu to learn some more (for hobby), you should go to school and get some real skill so you can contribute to the society and keep up with technologies. I don't mean taking some video and posting on YT is keeping up with tech. Don't be a professional "mai mo lo"(dude selling MA). It ain't good for you 401 K. Cheers, =)

  • from billy maddison " Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

  • And the quote is supposed to make you feel good...so be it. Any idiot can quote anything. You could even quote I-Ching if you like but just like your "quote" of your sifu's WC theory, it blows in the wind because IT DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING to anyone! Oh, I like Adam thou.

  • yawn

  • You should be yawning! It's almost pass might night in the windy city and you are still trolling on YouTube? Why aren't you looking at yourself in the full length mirror, the one above your bad?

  • yawn

  • Your the troll. Say GTFO

  • watch?v=NkUzfAfwP1A - he acts like a xenophobe he obviously supports hitler.

    /watch?v=oU-FbR8Ige0 exact same story here

he made a very nasty comment on a video called the day carl sagan died. and racism towards middle easteners throughout irak videos lemme search for more
