Paul and Neil are in an improv troupe sometimes called the Comedy Store Players (and sometimes Paul Merton's Impro-Chums) - I've seen them a couple of times and they have been top notch both times. Worth checking out.
The way they bounce off each other in little ways, like that, is great. It made me laugh when Damien introduced Neil and Paul seems to say to him "did you really play Tony Blair?" to which Neil tuts as if Paul should've known that!
And when they are 'flirting' and saying "Nancy Pelosi" cracks me up!
I know - it's not the same as it was back in the day, but I guess if Angus hadn't have gone, we wouldn't get any more HIGNFY. And some is better than none. At least the guest presenters to do keep it fresh. I thought Damien Lewis did a pretty good job - I liked him more than I'd expected to. Boris is unbeatable, shame he's become Mayor - he'll be too busy for it now!!!
Tom Baker was hilarious! I thought that show was brilliant - I felt Chris Addison's pain when he cried "I always wanted to meet you and now look...!!"
I guess 14-15 really, because some I haven't seen. There's only 16 missing episodes on my list out of the 299 regular series programmes so far. That's 140 hours of my life!
For a moment, I thought he was introducing Neil MALARKEY. Of course, life isn't always totally made up of awesome coincidences...

Yep and in the first one he was the bloke who was giving Austin his Swedish penis enlarger back!

Don't put it like that - it's scary! Although, there are worse ways to spend 140 hours!

What do the red buttons they are all wearing represent?
troumer 3 years ago
They are poppies to commemorate the soldiers who fought in WW2. Britain always celebrates it on November 11th. :)

Thanks for the info (and the vids).

WW1

Stupid me! You're right! :)
bryrw06 3 years ago
No big deal .... it concerns me that I must have watched about 18 HIGNFY poppy episodes.
grusl 3 years ago
I noticed that too! I suppose since they always air in November, it's a large likelihood, but it still seems an unusually high number of episodes.
