Flash v Savior (P2/2) @ KTF v CJ 10/25/09

Savior these days refuses to adapt to the times. His Mid and Late game are amazing, but his total reliance on this fast expansion build against T isn't working anymore, I think he needs to sit down and listen to Jaedong in "How To Zerg" in the new age

fwiw: pink on men: possibly it can be made to look okay to non-american eyes, in the usa gender stereotypes are probably too strong. However the combination of shirts and ties worn by the Korean commentators was horribly ugly.

I'm not doubting that he can, and beautifully. All I'm saying is that in this game, and some other games he's played lately, he hasn't micro'd his dropships like I know he can.

oh thats true, maybe his multitasking skills have decreased a notch, good thing is, skill wise and his win ratio havent decreased at all. Im glad he is still doing great, he won the gom last season and maybe doesnt have to play bisu in the quarterfinals this season again ;)

Even when he's in a "slump," he's certainly a force to be reckoned with.

after the first part Savior really had no chance to win. but even than he still made even more horrible mistakes, not to mention a very very passive play. he got the early mutas, did no damage with them whatsoever. got lurkers, did no damage with them whatsoever, heck, he couldn't even defend with them. Flash just muscled his way through, too easily at that...

flash even passed his peak of his early 2008 and plays today the most flawless starcraft in tvt and tvz i've seen

man. flash and savior are in completely different leagues as far as gameplay goes. flash is just so ridiculously good. it's the difference between an S class player and a B class.

i still wonder what was and is the reason savior never managed to pull himself together and recover fully again. he always improves on one side, micro or macro or game decision, and loses on the other half.

I feel that Savior (these days) makes far too many strategic mistakes regarding expansions. More important than that, though, is the facet of his play expressed in his love of the mid-game.

In my mind, at least, the mid-game (when Z is involved, certainly) is defined by the Zerg player. Pushing to defilers _might_ have accorded Savior with more options...or at least prolonged the game.

Nice cast, but it's sad for me to see Savior fall so far.
