Things like the smoke aint effected by objects moving through it like with say physx.. anyways still nice. vid :D

Graphics is not "wow". Beautiful picture is not the main thing for sim.

Pretty graphics is just for kids.

Crysis is a typical instance. Awesome graphics but meaningless action.

@ultimatemtb Modern computers can show a nice picture. Gran turismo looks pretty good, but we can see only a few kilometers and a "couple" of object. Graphics is improving constantly. But the main is still dynamics. If dynamics is good, then gran turismo 500 would be the same, only better picture

Avia sim is more complicated. 3d dimension moving and unstable medium. Only dynamics is 100 times more complicated. And the area we could see 1000 times larger, so we need 1000t. more powerful computer.

The explosion effects and physics are pretty good, but why are the physics so bad when a plane collides with the earth?

Those are some of the best explosions I've seen: theatrical and realistic. Wish the smoke hung around for longer though.

0:24 The brown Fockker is knocked one way by an explosion, and is falling back, when an explosion from another direction knocks it the other way!!! Awesome physics and graphics! Definitely buying this game!

Would be great if SOW use this engine, as a simply better textured IL2 engine wouldn't do, cuz IL2 engine is old, and THIS is the next gen sim engine.

I was playing Rise of Flight yesterday first time and I must say that it looks great. The explosions in the battleground were as realistic looking as I could imagine them to be. Holy crap! And the sounds and everything.

i would love to see this in iL 2 but all have is dreams it would be kool if there was a world war 1 1st person shooter where you can play it in the same style as Fallout 3 but more realistic if ya get me

There's nothing special or good about these explosions, if you want to see very well done explosions then play Relic Entertainments 'Company of Heroes', no game, new or old, comes close to Relic Entertainment's quality work.
