I did this just now, and what I did to makeit cool is the magnet isn't really glued in, so I took it out and flipped over and glued it in, now the bottom of my palette is silver

Hi, I tried to remove the divider of my MAC palette yesterday. It came out but there are small plastic pieces attached to the corners of the palette afterwards. Is it normal or did I break it?

what do you mean the magnet sticks to the metal backing? Are you saying the MAC palate is magnetic and the metal pots of other shadows stick? Are you saying the shadow pots are magnetic OR do you need to put magnets on the back of the shadows so they stick on the plate of the metal MAC palate? And what about Shu Uemura do they fit in this pallette? And do you know, how does Shu compare to MAC

OMG this is such an awesome video! I should of used your method of depoting MAC shadows. (without heat) I depoted them with heat using a hair straightener, and the eyeshadow color isn't as vibrant now. I guess the heat dried it up because I barely get any color out of them and I wasted 2 MAC shadows! Do you have any tips or ideas on how to get the shadows to work again?

No, you can buy the palettes at any freestanding MAC store. You dont need to be a Pro Member - only at the Pro Website that you need to be a member to buy.

Ebay has lots listed. They're almost double the price that the 800 number for make has it for. I think it's like $12 from MAC. Most people on ebay sell it for like 17+shipping. Best thing is to call MAC and ask them for the MAC PRO PAN 15 PALETTE. The number is 1-800-387-6707. I think this might just be for the US. :D

Do you have a technique for converting MAC quads into palettes?

Thats easy to do - just take the well-tray off (much like i did in this video), and you will find the 4 pans glued to the metal base of the quad. Use alcohol to soften the glue until they can easily be lifted off. Clean any remaining glue residue, and snap the well-tray back in place.

Call a MAC store and order from them instead of Pro Customer Service. The freestanding stores will sell you a palette no questions asked. Dont need to be a pro member to buy them.

$3.50 is for the QUAD (square one fits 4 shadows) - the 15-well palette in this vid is about $12. And the shadows in pans are correct, $10.50.

Yes, they sell the palletes empty. You can also look at the MAC website. The palettes are available at MAC Stores as well, but not counters like Macys.
