I've used Windows all my life but now I buy and iMac because Windows actually does have a lot more compatibility issues than Macs do. You can't change the CPU on a Mac, though. It will be used for composing music. Automatic ASIO, less latency on Mac.
@ell595 Actually I have. We have it at our campus and Adobe Premiere has had fewer crashes and faster export times than final cut. Adobe Premiere Pro is the way to go.
@QBlockClock Adobe Premiere may have quicker exports and better compression, but if you want to do anything other than straight up continuity cutting you're gonna hit problems. Any sort of keying, overlays, light VFX and advanced composite work will give you agro in Premiere. Final Cut is a professional program used by the pros, second only to Avid.
@klavistata Apple products are weak and are actually made for less intelligent people to understand. If you ever pay attention to any of Steve Jobs' speeches, you'll come to realize that almost every adjective he uses is, "Easy" or, "Simple". I'm all for other people using what they want, it's just that I have the brain capacity to sit down and learn how a more powerful program works. Don't get your panties in a bunch there fella.
@QBlockClock WIth your apple product comment, I think some are amazing and at the same time just as good as some windows programs, but yes they are more expensive and everyone knows garageband IS made for a simple brain but thats a cheap part of iLife and good programs are expensive.

@Rusz01 I totally agree. Logic is the best music creation program I have used. I have used Reason, FL, Ableton and lots more. And I agree Logic is no way near easy or simple.
