  • @plethoranz Deadlifts are mainly for a lower back workout, this is a upper back exercise

  • @campbell4show Deadlifts when done properly are more focused on glutes and hamstrings... the lower back should be straight and avoided in isolation as this can result in very bad injuries unless the weight is kept low. 

  • deadlifts are for the lover back although your lower back is involved your are focusing on the lats.

  • No, pull-ups are hands down the best exercise for your back. Not enough weight? Well, grab a dip belt. Ain't nothin like pull-ups for building a strong back!

  • i agree completely on it being the best back building exercise but i was taught to leave my knees at a 90 degree angle and slide the bar up my thighs.. just my 2 cents

    the reverse grip prevents you from standing at 90 degrees. the over hand grip makes your elbows stick out and subsequently, you can bend over to the 90 degree angle
