You can overclock it as far as you want, but as long as it is stable and not overheating then leave it.

overclock it like this .. i got same cpu,

multiplier at *11

fsb at 240

cpu voltage at 1.45 or 1.5( cant remember)..what ever boots :P this is what i run mine at anything above this (2.64ghz) is unstable im on a stock cooler and fan but i also got a 120mm exaust fan like 1 inch away from my cpu w/e ;P

Lowering the multiplier is safe, but touching the FSB is risky. The memory sticks are most likely to be the first to complain about having their speeds jacked up or greatly lowered. Underclocking the CPU does no damage but rather prolongs the life of it (if you lower the voltage as well) but of course you are running with a slow chip. It's like cool n quiet but always on (I would guess 5x multiplier at 1.0V is safe).

are you stupid, when you start your computer it will usually say BIOS at the bottom of the screen, and you push the F button that it says to push, on mine it says, BIOS=F4 so i quicly push that button, and it brings up the BIOS

Over a period of time yes overclock will wear down ur cpu, usuall takes a year or so before u notice any difference.

With the 3800x2 u could probably get 2.4ghz stable if you step up the voltage by about 0.2v
