i agree with hamza that assuming that reality exists is a leap of faith. science does not need to acknowledge existence, merely understand the world functions under the presupposition. that does not mean the presupposition is correct, nor does it mean that science is false. that leads back to agnosticism.

atheists are simply confused. they can't even proof the existence of their great great great grandmother, without using logic as "since we are here today, she must have existed." Well that reasoning is using rational, and so Muslims say: "since we are here today and the universe is here, then ONE who is uncaused and immaterial caused the universe which is sum of all material and that One is ALLAH, the One, Eternal, did not beget, nor begotten and nothing we know can equate to Him [Quran 112:1-4]

Richard alwys resrts to a 'who designed the Designer?' argument. In science the best expanation does not require an expnation and the best explanation for Universe's origin is GOD - SIMPLE.

There are many natural hypothesis' for the formation of the first cell. There were the Miller-Urey experiments in 1962 that simulated the Earths atmosphere 4 billion years ago, they were able to produce 20 amino acids, which included all Amino acids necessary for life. It might seem impossible to some but so seems evolution and black holes. Science isn't common sense.

Rick Lewis is astoundingly useless at debating theology. I'm surprised that he's the editor of Philosophy Now. He seems lost at several points during the debate whilst having the philosophically stronger position. His ignorance puts him  on the back foot heavily. They should have had a proper atheist - Hamza wouldn't have stood a chance. Someone like Christopher Hitchens would have done the job in 5 mins.

Verily, morality is linked to God, thus if one denies God, their perception, judgement && mentality in regards to "Morality" is challenged && maybe deficient.

heisenbergs uncertainty principle states that you cannot identify a particles position and momentum not because the observer affects the positioning and momentum but becus theres no ability or hidden variable this argument fits in with the ashari position of occaisionalism they said there are no secondary causes only God causes. causality is not an empirical proposition bt apriori necessary for rational and scientific thinking. Thus naturalistic causes give way to only a metaphysica cause ie God

The best I've seen brother Hamza to date. I don't think that Rick Lewis was the right person for this debate though. He did an excellent job in expressing his agnosticism, but the debate needed someone who actually believed that God is a delusion--an atheist. If there was an atheist on the other side of the table I think Hamza would have ran rings around him.

Amazing - I enjoyed watching this much. Keep the great work on Hamza! We should all play our roles in conveying to humanity the great nature of Islam & try to channel youths in serving all human kind in best ways and prevent them from getting into trouble or harm others.

I believe at the same time we should be thoughtful as we criticize Christianity & Judaism and not do that, if ever, without first considering thoroughly God's revelations to these people.
