my uncle bought this camera, the one with huge battery on the bottom, i was disappointed with picture quality, so blury, so bad at lightening, so terrible at low light..
@polzowatel well actually is your uncle a professional photographer or has some experience with DSLR's? Because i've actually seen the 5d produce wonderful images before. Even though mine sometimes end up blurry LOL. But just out of curiosity, did he buy it as an upgrade or something?
@thejeffreyguy yes he has 5D and he kinda knows how to use it but still most of the images when u zoom in on computer are just terrible.. either it has a bad focus or i dont know.. no what do u mean as an upgrade? he had SLRs before but he buys them more for a showoff -_-
@polzowatel Oh, i think you might have zoomed in too much while trying to examine the picture closely or it wasn't you weren't holding it steady enough, ect. I meant upgrade as in like he bought it to replace an old SLR that he doesn't want to use anymore but i guess probably not lol. And your uncle must be kinda rich to be having a 5D mark ii plus other SLR's. :P
@polzowatel This camera really is a lens destroyer. Actually not the camera, but the full frame sensor. If your uncle has lenses which are quality controlled to work on cropped sensors, they usually fail on full frame sensors, and the photos won't look good. Check out SLRGEAR.com and they will give you an indication on the limits of your uncle's lenses.
@sjs2657g eh i dont think he gives a crap he just likes expensive toys, if it was my camera i would definitely check it out, in fact ill save that link because i want an SLR camera as well so it will be useful, thanks for the link and a tip!
Great vid but do you need to keep a speedlite on the hot shoe to fire slaves. The 7d has this function but I did not think the 5d has? Or do the flashes off camera have to be mark 2? I have the 580 mark 1 and has to be on the hot shoe.
7d eos music video...Ls Centz i lost my baby..continuation of Ls voicemail on youtube...My second video i ever shot using canon 7d eos did it in one day check us out
Does the speedlight have to be a certain model? I have a Sunpak Power Zoom 4000AF that says it is made for Canon, but not all menu options are selectable.
True, some nikon bodys (may) take better night time shots than from some canon bodys but canons lens definately take better and sharper images than nikon lens... (fact)...
@gibor4975 - not the F2.8L's, the differences are negligible, and certainly nothing the eye could pick up. At the non L or less than F2.8's it depends on the exact lens comparisons.
Super quality video... -.-

Excellent tutorial, but 240p? Can you reshoot in at least 480 so we can see and read what and where you are on the flash?

This was really helpful, except I'm not sure which setting you were on when you started this. O, CA, P, Tv, AM, M, etc. This would help. Thanks.

This is very helpful, even for flash control with my Canon T2i. I had no idea how much I could do.

Can you tell me how to set the 5D Mark II ISO below 200 and Auto? My camera does not give me the option to go below 200 or Auto.

OR you could follow along with your camera. The menus aren't as complex as you may think.

@chow3000 I've seen tons of sample images of canons and nikkor lenses on the web. most of them proves nikkor's are way sharper than canon's.
