  • 13th at the worlds last year. not bad. i'm sure you jonathon srour. i helped teach him and his brother their first steps. amazing family too. his mom cushla is a doll! makes me feel old for 28! lol!

  • nice rhythm. only a small timing issue in the 2/4th of the set. always difficult to explain to dancers about the "machine gun" affect. perfect example of how it should be done. just wish it had been louder! ;)

  • amazing! :D

  • well done you danced very well! the older girls at my dance school do the piper and their steps are so fast and intreguit, i love thier set.

  • what speed is this please :)

  • What School are you from?

  • you have gorgeous rhythm! how did you do at worlds?

  • Wow! love this set

  • you're really good

  • hey do you know what speed this was??

  • 76.

  • how did you do at worlds that year??

  • Does ID run in your family? I mean, did your parents or grandparents dance growing up? It seems like you have a natural-born talent for it.

  • Nice rhythm... very nice to see that. The only real criticism is one I'm sure you've had before, because everything else is pretty much spot-on: You need to have more stage presence. Now, I'm assuming that you dance harder and with more aggression on a wood, non-slippery floor, or marley floor (as I'm sure all of us would), however ... idk, it just seemed like you weren't all there. But kudos to you for the great rhythm and difficulty of steps :)

  • totally love your manner of dancing - very elegant:)the turns in the set part are amazing)))

  • awesome man thats twice as good as me!

  • you false started... try not to...... but your great anyway!!! =D

  • good question!

  • Nicely done

  • fucking hell man you have one amazing set.

no wonder you teacher is spoiling you with all the comptitions you been at.

    your shit hot.

  • you have amazing rhythm!! :D

  • haha!! i remember that day! i was there laughing on the side. i hate the floor too, ive slipped on it too many times to count. u were a great dance teacher at camp!

  • is that a heavy jig or hornpipe set dance

  • It's a Hornpipe setdance (the Piper) done at speed 76, which is the minimum speed for a HP set. Yes it sounds like a jig, but it's definitely a HP set.

  • Not only is your dancing awesome, but the control you have over you upper body is fantastic! Wow!!

  • Hey, so why did you choose to take a hornpipe set and slow it down to a jig? I was just at the world's, were you that guy who was slowed down your hornpipe to a jig? Nice dance though!

  • Brilliant set dance.

  • man you are great, youre my hero now, Ive been doing it for 4 years now learning by myself but you are awesome.

  • That was very well done! Your rhythm/timing was perfect!

  • Nicely done!

  • that was great, except for the what was it, a tile floor? Man, I hate dancing on tile floors, they make me so nervous that I'm just going to wipe out...

  • I've never been interested in...hardshoe dancing? is that what it's called?...but now that I've come across your videos, I'd totally take lessons if I could afford them!

But more about you-- you are so exact when you dance, and I love the sound of the tapping on the floor. I wouldn't have even known you were holding back if you hadn't mentioned it.

    Great job, really!

  • thought that waz really gud!!...uve amazing rythem is outa dis world!!..but i tink ya shud b a bit more lively!!..but it waz total awsome!!!=)

  • its a great tune isn't it? stamina?? lots and lots of repetition.

  • what shoes do you have..?

  • rutherfords. i love em.

  • I have those too. They are annoying though. I bought them fitting perfectly but they stretched so much they didn't fit! Now i have to wear thick sock.:(

  • fantastic dancer .. i wish i had your stamina.

i'm ready to die 3/4 through the set part.

  • haha thanks - maybe it doesn't look like it but i'm ready to die there as well

  • but that's the whole point, yeah? be dead but don't look dead. :]

  • i also do this set but at 104 so its a lot faster...great job though your timing and rhythym were spot on

  • thanks - yeah this one is at 80 - much slower...

  • I dont know why everyone seems to overlook what Irish Dance would be today without Michael Flatley...it would be boring and in no way entertaining

  • Irish Dancing will never be boring...it is our heritage...some of us were dancing before Michael Flately made it commercial and actually less traditional! The Irish will always dance our steps with pride!

  • very nice i enjoyed watching that many thnx for all yr vids. great dancer xxx

  • thanks!

  • you r gud. u could be the new flatley guy

  • haha okay thanks but no thanks - he's kinda washed up in my opinion....glad you like my dancing tho!

  • great set...wut is your age group?

  • thanks - men 18-19

  • jesus...i can not write any more compliments....i have run outta them:(((

just a question..it is at least 2-3 minutes u r dancing .....do u ever run out of breath?????u dont look as if u needed any breath:))))

    have a beautiful day:))

  • yeah - especially on this dance - it's quite tiring....

  • Beautiful rhythem! And I love the choreography! Absolutley amazing! Keep up the good work! How did you do at Worlds? Top 5?

  • thanks! Yeah its definitely one of my favorite sets that I've had. Not quite top five....actually i was just barely out of the top ten...I appreciate the compliment though

  • class dancer man cant see any technical errors at all real clean performance end of the set id bril love the quick nature...maybe try and get slight bit more height into some f ur "up-clicks".

  • thanks - yeah the floor was super slippery so i was holding back - they are kinda low

  • i just started off as a teacher in galway if i had a lad as good as u man id be happy

  • thanks - good luck with your school. I'd love to have my own dance school sometime...

  • sur it not that hard your with commission so firstly get ur grade certs if ya dont have them. Teaching is great craic really enjoy it.

  • You're super fun to watch. i love the rhythm at the start of the set (or whatever the part is called after you do the right and left).

  • yeah he really deserved it, he works really hard. ur such a great dancer id kill to qualify for the world championships :P . Well Done! :D

  • thanks - you'll get there - it took me a looong time to qualify.

  • 15-16 (i think) hes from the deegan school in london (dunno if youve heard of it. btw u have such a good turn out

  • thanks so much - wow thats great that he won!

  • hey just wanted to know how u got on at the worlds one of the boys that goes to my dancing school won his age group

  • I got thirteenth - what age group was he?

  • Hey, I've noticed that this is slower than speed 76 for a hornpipe set. But that is the minumum speed, isn't it? Cuz I have downfall at 76, but if it was just as slow as this one, it wud make it a lot easier......so what gives? By the way I use Kevin Joyce's Final Round. I compared it to the piper on his cd (speed 76) and this was a tad faster that you are dancing on.

  • Really? this is supposed to be the piper at 76 from kevin joyce's cd. Maybe the speed got altered either from the video camera or when I uploaded it or maybe even my teacher slowed it down a little by accident. I know that each set dance has its own minimum speed and downfall's might be 80. I know that the piper's minimum is 76.

  • highrishdancer I think he meant kelleebell...

  • Clarify what comment? My comment? I'm confused lol.

  • Ok I love watching this cause of your rythmn... But have you noticed everyone go WOAH when you do a 1 and a half turn and your side together heels at the begining? LOL

  • WOW! thats was GORGEOUS! I'll bet ya creamed the two guys that went to worlds from our school! shhhh don't tell em' I said that ;o

  • I looooooooooooooooooooooooooove your set.

  • haha thanks

  • Lovely! You have a very distinct style of dance. (That's a good thing.) You're quite good at toe-heel patterns too. I love to just listen to it.

  • thanks so much - i'm glad you clarified that comment - i was a lil worried ;-)

  • GAH! I love your turnout. :) Very nice set - I want that for my set this year ... wish I looked as masculine as you when I danced though. :\ How'd you fare at the Worlds?

  • How did you do at worlds?

  • Wow your great! If your ever around Alabama let me know I'd love to have you teach a workshop for some of the dancers down here.

  • thanks so much - dunno if i'll ever make it down there but i'll let you know

  • I love it :D You're great! Do you know how did I recognised at the worlds? CROSSING! My teacher loves your feet ;)
