  • One of the most enlightened, talented and learned advocates of free speech of our times--and a pretty damn good musician, too.

  • Not the best sound quality - but with a great feeling put into the show.

  • Danas dan počinjem s legendernim Frankom Zappom.

  • @MrPovijest Ja svaki dan započinjem s njim ;)

  • Brilliant musician....but I think he was unfair to his original (Mothers of Invention) line-up.

After touring the world he didn't pay them anything and he fired them all. The original line up were by far the most talented. I love this song....

  • @23Henrich you're joking right?

  • @dressedtosmellgood don't get me wrong: I am a major Zappa fan...and I have done thorough research on his music career.I simply think that the musicians he had in the Mother's of Invention were his best. There is a very good documentary on the subject called Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention: In the 60's. There is plenty of live footage and interviews with the musicians......check it out if you are a fan...it's worth watching. ;)

  • @23Henrich if they were such good musicians, why did he end up firing them because couldn't they play his music?

  • @dressedtosmellgood no they played his music very well....Zappa always surrounded himself with good musicians....but I think he wanted more of a solo career....and he didn't want the hassle of managing a full-time band ;)

  • @23Henrich lets be realistic. every single one of the mothers was severely outclassed by their replacements. ray collins was no napoleon murphy brock no ike willis nor ray white, roy estrada was no arthur barrow no tom fowler nor scott thunes nor pat ohearn.jim black was a horrible drummer, just look at his grip, he has no idea what hes doing. i am going to guess you're not a musician because you dont seem to understand how difficult zappas later stuff became tehcnically.

  • God Bless you Frank - still classic after all this years. RIP big fella...

  • Fantastic!!!! Thanks to Freddy!!!

  • pure genius,we miss you frank....rip.

  • What does he say in the end off the video "because the name of this song is ???

  • Coneheads, if I remember correctly from the DVD.

  • conehead.

  • Are you sure this was in 1978? Because I don't think Ike Willis was in his band at the time and I think that's him wearing the goofy hat. Plus the song Conehead wasn't out until the album "You are What You Is" in the 80s

  • I think that's Ray White.

  • I didn't know he performed that song in 78' since it came out in 79'. And I have seen Ike Willis wear that hat many times before.

  • That most certainly is not Ray White. Thats Ike.

  • @shomo172 frank write conehead for the 78 tv shows . those was the first appearances of Ike with frank.

  • フランク・ザッパ rulez

  • What a funny great song... it makes my day when I wake up on the other side of the bed:))

  • I heard it was about Rick Dees.

  • A funny thing is that this song was number one at the Swedish radio list in -79, and Frank won a listeners prize, rockbjörnen (Rockbear), for best song. When he received the prize he said: "-You're just a little different created up here in the cold north!" I guess the older generation didn't understand a word he was singing! :-)

  • Bobby Brown (born Robert Barisford Brown, on February 5, 1969) =it doenst add up

  • No, it has nothing to do with the ex-husband of Whitney Houston :-)

It is about the "strange relationship Americans have(had)with sex and sexual frankness".

  • lol

  • it's not bobby brown the singer you moron

  • hahaha!

    tell him!

  • backwards it´s genius

  • zappa = genius^2

  • this song is one of my faves, that and joe's garage.

I wish i could of seen him live.

    RIP Frank x

  • Zappa Brilliant

  • He wasn't gay...

It was modern in that time, that look, and he is half italian or something...

Mustache also gives the look hahaha.

  • lol.......I thought this would've been Bobby Brown, as in New Edition/Whitney Houston/Crack addict Bobby Brown.

  • Cleverest and funniest lyrics of all time, brilliand and great song =D RIP Frank, and may the ressurectional time be short for thy... Who the hell was Bobby Brown btw? =P

  • bobby brown was a mad man, between raping and s&m lol

  • Whitney Houston`s husband, former singer of New Edition `course!

  • He was not a faggot... he had children

  • i love you frank i'll check you when i get a sofa on my way to ramulak we can relax with my panero

  • i dont think that hes gay i think he was litle crazy...

  • Getta good, Getta good, Getta good jaaaaahb

How he ever did this song with a straight face is beyond me. I miss ya Frank

  • Frank Zappa did for sure not intend this song to be a smash hit... listen to the text please. i think it was so fukin sarcastic that this song went top ten in europe i think people didnt realize what the text was really about until today ;-)

  • True croco, tho some of us did realize what it was all about, maybe europe was a bit more ready for Zappa?

  • they think zappa is some kind of mad man, they come here to see him go crazy but theres notes involved

  • darn rite; Frank rules if you don't like it don't watch it; Frank is not gone his words live on...catch that bobby brown

  • dont write shit about Frank Zappa he is a Legend!!!

  • 75 albums in 25 years lets see what youve down with your life?

oh wait i know posting shit on the internet about people you dont even know, wow you really are pathetic(that goes for mcanner also)

maybe you can go work on that stupid ass ausralian accent you have hahaha.

  • Actually wasn't that what tupac did to you???

I heard that if it went any further up your ass it would pop out your mouth and cum in Snoop Dogg's eye. hahahahahaha!!!!!!!

  • "I do not think I'm too extreme"

  • Comment removed

  • you don't get much of the musical irony do ya

  • I love it at the end where he starts squatting down! Zappa could make things that were dumb and brilliant at the same time.

  • Muito Bom!!

  • VIVA ZAPPA!!!

  • i have just one thing to say wow... what a great man that was but how could a such great star get prostata cancer and die ? why???????? :(

  • LOL Zappa rules.

  • this was in a german TV channel!!! Cool.

  • EPIC FOOTAGE. Thank you!

  • hes so funny!!! :D go zappa

  • now that is good music and good humor.

    zappa rullz!

  • Exactly right. This song is satire as much of Zappa's stuff was. Readin' some of these posts is a little disturbing as some are reading way too much into this. It was humor, satire, Zappa was a master at that and this was one of his best satirical songs - making the "cool" school jock into a pervert. That is so Zappa.

  • His music still kicks asses

  • @atmeneti2 "And the music is the best."

  • BIG GRINS

  • ZAPPA RULES!!!!!

  • Great song.

  • FRANK ZAPPA = LEGEND

  • An Im'a handsome son-of-a biiiitch!

  • I can take about an hour on tha tower of power...

  • 1978?? this song was released 1979!!!

  • It was actually written in the early 70's. Zappa sang it on some EuroTV show in 74. It's up here on the Zappa documentary. :D

  • Zappa was GOD!

    Bob Dylan still!

  • Oh man! can any of you even go 10 minutes on the Tower of Power? Wow! A whole hour!? Impossible.
