Thanks, chihuahuabulldog. The vet created a makeshift splint (difficult to do because it was actually the foot that was broken - and in a precarious spot), and will keep him for a few days, then transfer him to a local wildlife rehabber who specializes in pigeons. I think he's going to do very well.
@rrrina It is so nice to know that there are still people that will take time to help an injured animal, even a Pigeon! Many would say it's just a Pigeon, what does it matter? Thank you for knowing it does matter.
Yes, Chihuahuabulldog, I feel everyone matters. If I didn't have so many animals, I would have loved to care for the pigeon while he convalesces. But I know he's in good hands. Thank you for your compassion!

Thanks, CK! He just drank some water from my hand and ate some oatmeal bread soaked in water! I'm keeping him warm and as comfortable as possible.
