I heard and played many guitars .. I heard Daves orange VMNT in a test here on youtube and from the first second I heard it was a beast. I normally would never say "buy a guitar without testing it" but that thing is the REAL deal, no joking (I mean that only goes for the sound of course, I have no idea how it plays..)

I love his deans but I just don't know why he left Jackson,. my opinion, I think the ESP move was retarded, he only had that guitar for 2 years vs. 17 years with jackson and 5 years with dean.

Looks like they are slowly fading away. I liked jackson when they were making those really awesome USA guitars. The kelly and the soloist were just untouchable, but now they are trying to cater to music thats like heavier than metal, therefore making the guitars suck.

The only things made in amerca are the Jacksons for like 2 grand, 5 grand gibsons and fenders, G&L guitars, and the list goes on. The only guitar you can get made in USA is wayy more than most of us can afford so we have to play foreign guitars.

Their stuff was of a much higher quality during the mid 90's when it was being made in Mississippi. Now it's made in China, and you can tell, just by the way it's made. @HearingLossProvider yea, I don't like peavey. I know that they used to be a good brand of amp back in the day but now they are complete junk. I played on a friends peavey one time and I didn't want to be rude but it had horrible tone. It just sounded wayy too generic and muddy sounding and I didn't like it at all. But thats what you get when you buy an all digital amp. That's what I have and it's ok but I would so go all tube over all digital anyday.

@hoodfigga0987 well I never said that foreign guitars suck, and I agree with what goes in it because some guitars may look amazing on the outside but have crappy insides but, the sound of a good guitar is all in the hands. Amps, strings, pickups, etc have an extreme affect on the tone and sound but it's the way the player pursues it. As far as I can see, Jackson seems to be at well stababilty at the moment. It may not seem like it but they seem to me that they are on top like everybody else.

@MusicJamin330 haha i really like jackson USA's. I remember playing a USA soloist and i just thought it was the best guitar ever, but the price sucked haha. Japanese common guitars are pretty much at USA standards now. ESP is the biggest company there and they make really good guitars over there. The ESP's in the US kinda suck. If you didnt know, in the 80's ESP supplied kramer, jackson and charvel with parts, before ESP sent guitars to the US. Ibanez cheap guitars are at USA standards now too.

As soon as I started shredding on it, I thought "Dude, this is amazing!" haha but I agree, the pricing was too high for my liking. but yea, there are really great foreign guitars like schecter is a good company and Ibanez as well. I see it as like you said, they have USA standards, but have a couple more flaws and they are a glue or bolt on neck. thats it really.

And theres like bajillion dollar fenders and they all have bolt on necks. Alot of people prefer them oddly. I went on playing metal guitars for a while, but then i finally bought a strat and i like strats now more than any other guitars haha. Well, single coils not strats. Its all just preference. I can get into any guitar except for gibson. They just cant do it.
