Your car has a maximum of 302 hp stock the m3 e46 has 333 hp stock and weighs less and is a stiffer car. the only reason you won is because either the m3 driver is bad at shifting or your car is tuned.

I went to the BMW dealership and the salesman even tells me that the 333 hp--- 295 lb ft E46 M3 is just slightly slower than my 335i xdrive coupe. Wikipedia states that BMW underrates their 335i. One test demonstrated 332 hp and 311 lb ft for a stock 335i. If this is the case then this video is accurate and shows the 335i barely pulling away.

well if you take a M3 e46 over an 335i you are an idiots since the 335i when it came out in 2007 was about ~$18k cheaper than the m3 e46 that same year, which the 335i stock is better in every aspect than the m3 e46, now the 2008+ M3 is another story but if you spend ~ 600+ in a jb4 whith dual intakes will beat the crap out of the M3 v8, thats why a lot of ppl is getting the 335i intead of the 2008+ m3

@norb088 A JB3 tuned 335i is able to keep up the E92 so I doubt that. I went to the BMW dealership and the salesman even tells me that the 333 hp--- 295 lb ft E46 M3 is just slightly slower than my 335i xdrive coupe. Wikipedia states that BMW underrates their 335i. One test demonstrated 332 hp and 311 lb ft for a stock 335i. If this is the case then this video is accurate and shows the 335i barely pulling away.
