@IDante1Savage two reasons, I think this was a test to see if they can still go and do good business by putting Kane & RVD over which they did since like you said as they got no offense as back in the day that was unheard of by the road warriors. second, WWE was still going through their hot shot period they thought this might pop a rating if nobody knew about it or hyped it up.

woah, L.O.D. never really wanted to win the titles in this match. they wanted to have one good match and then retire from Wrestling in the WWE(F) if they had won the titles from Kane and RVD they would have been forced to defend them. The only time Kane was played by another person is when Luke Gallows was the masked Kane and the original was unmasked.

For the people saying the Warriors were jobbers in this match, Animal and RVD have said Rob and Kane wanted to drop the titles to them in a squash to show their respect for LOD and what they did for the business and Vince was going to do it as a way to thank them (Vince and Hawk had patched up their relationship in 02) but Hawk and Animal said it wouldn't be good business for a younger team to lose so they wanted to put them over clean to give back. They didn't need the titles.

Wouldnt have made sense to put the belts on LOD at this point. They were brought back for a match or two and that was it. I dont see a loss to kane n rvd embarassing at all. It wouldve been worse to put the titles on them and take them off them a week or two later. Wouldve been a better one in the late 80s early 90s no question. At least they lost to a martial artist and...well KANE and not kendrick n london or miz show.
