  • I agree if youlisten closely that is not Elvis, especially the top notes at the end. He is very good but you can't replace the King!

  • oh wow Elvis is crazy! And i like him that way. :D

  • 90 likes have an identity problem, this whole Elvis impersonation shit is pathetic and sad.

  • I spent a lot of time working with this song and now perform it regularly. I know each and every tiny nuance in the vocal. Elvis this ain't, but it sure as hell not bad.The give-away is in the big finish, the voice becomes quite "Toppy", whereas Elvis stayed rich, strong and pure. Great performance Mr. Church, I'm impressed and I'm in the the trade!! lol

  • I totally believe it is Doug Church. Doug Sounds fine on this mix, but anyone with an ear for Elvis' voice can tell within 2 seconds that the vocal starting that this is not the Voice of Elvis Presley.

  • this is elvis. i aint even kiddin. an ya'll kno it is

  • I have listened to Elvis growing up i know his voice when i here it this is not Elvis singing but very good impersonation to Elvis i have herd yet very good job to you Doug..

  • My father was watching this and I heard from another room. I asked him who was singing, because I knew it wasn't Elvis. I listen to him practically since I was born. I agree it is the closest voice, but not that much how Sonny West described it. That's his opinion. I don't care about impersonators, anyway. I respect some of them, but it's just it. I have the real Elvis to listen to, after all.

  • The epitome of awesomeness! WoW! Doug is the next best thing to Elvis himself. Sounds just like Elvis AND can hit every note flawlessly. Thanks for posting!

  • To the 19 dislikes I suggest you go and get your ears unblocked, This is prob the best rendition you will pron ever hear...........SO APPRECIATE IT..............

  • Doug does a great job, but just listen to the real Elvis sing this song, If you are a real fan at all you can tell and hear a big difference!! Doug is one of the best impersonators I have ever heard, but NOT ELVIS!!!

  • Doug Church comes the closest of anyone i've ever heard to hitting that last note the way Elvis did.

  • doug should post a video of him doing it rather than over-dub Elvis' voice

  • OMG,, this is the voice of ELVIS!!! Amazing!!!! Elvis reincarnated in Doug Church!

  • Right now... I'm crying!

  • Awesome!!!! Douig Church is THE BEST!!! Far better than Shaun!!!

  • doug church is the best,by far. no comes close.

  • Ron Jesse

  • This is truly amazing, I don`t think I have ever heard anyone so close to the voice of Elvis, just in places you can hear it is not Elvis but boy oh boy, it is absolutely amazing, Well done Doug and thank you for helping keep Elvis name alive,

  • here the best elvis imitator i ever saw......with real voice......not like the others they want sound like elvis......./watch?v=pn2W7ntTW5Y

  • I heard an interview where Sonny West said that if you close your eyes and listen to Doug Church sing you would think Elvis was singing. If this video doesnt prove it, then you aren't a true Elvis fan. Long live "The King" and with Dougs great voice he does.

  • Truly awesome video. Looking forward to seeing Doug perform in May.

  • Believe me this is Doug Church

It is a mix between Doug Church and Elvis, some parts Elvis, some parts Doug, you have to able to tell who is who....can you ?

  • Believe me this is Doug Church

  • WOW!!!...Doug you have really out done yourself here...Absolutely Brilliant!!!! Lefted The Roof Off the Building...As the saying goes!!...Truely out done yourself....Closes I have ever heard to Elvis....And What a Brilliant Performance...The Best..Always Jessie xxxx

  • Doug Church is truly one, if not the most fantastically realistic Elvis vocalists to ever ever sing an Elvis song----ooor, a song in Elvis' voice. Yes, this is Dougs voice-not Elvis! Few can even come close to capturing Elvis' vocal tone, vibrato, inflections, etc.---even Elvis' imperfections! I've listened to hundreds of "serious" vocalists-Doug is superior to most.

  • amazing job by doug!!

  • thats ed ennic hes the blonde guy so that is the real Elvis.

  • That is not doug because the blonde guy in the back is ed ennic

  • The best tribute act I've ever heard. Congrats Doug

  • I've heard him a few times live. It's for real.

  • Out of all my life I have only heard maybe 2-3 vocalist who accurately capture Elvis' vocal singing tone & vibrato! Doug Church is one!

  • Having listened to all three back to back I think most people wouldnt know this wasnt Elvis singing. Klush is just another tribute act.

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!

  • Its almost a subliminal feeling i get and i know its not Elvis kind of a missing spark i have when i hear EAP,but Doug Church does an amazing Elvis and im proud that he does, its an honor to E i believe!!!! Hope he keeps it up!!! Tribute Artists do their part to insure he will never have to Die Again!!!!! Long Live The King!!!!!! Go check out "shes a lady " its a song E never recorded but its very good!!!!!! it can be found under "shes a lady spoof elvis" Thankyou, Thankyou very much :D

  • that wasn't Elvis? That guy looks and sounds just like him. I could have sworn that was footage from the Hawaii concert. Amazing indeed!

  • @dougconley The video you see is indeed Elvis in his Aloha from Hawaii concert but the voice is doug church's... he simply used footage of elvis! Mainly cos he doesnt really look like Elvis so he used the video i guess to give people the impression that its Elvis singing it lol

  • Why isnt Doug Church selling out arenas like you see in this video? Hes by far good enough to do so! He needs a propper backing group and his very own "sweet inspirations"! This version of American Trilogy is absolutely amazing... i mean compare it to say Tom Jones version or Engelbert Humperdincks version and can you honestly say to me that theirs is better than Dougs? Superb doug!

  • There will Never, Ever, be another Elvis Presley. When we lost Elvis we lost the Greatest God given talent and voice the world has ever seen or heard.. It is really un-beliveable how much Doug Church sounds like our Elvis. In case you didn't know our Elvis is still alive and always will be - don't believe it? Ask anyone of us who truly love him.

  • sorry...,,,,,,no body have elvis voice,,,,,but we are keeping the memory alive ,,,,and doug church is the best voice as ETA but is not elvis voice,,,,,all the ETA keeping the memory alive i think,,,,,,,,I LOVE USA ,,,THANKS TO DOUG CHURCH REALY FOR HIS WONDERFUL VOICE,,,,LOVE IT

  • OUTSTANDING JOB... thanks for the pleasure of hearing this ..

  • doug church is the best....love it realy....

  • my fav elvis tune. just startingout myself

  • I will agree, there IS a difference, But Elvis was Elvis. Doug Church is about as close as you are gonna come to the real thing. For me, it's always been the unique voice...When I listen to tribute artists, I turn my back and listen to the voice. without the video to bias what I'm hearing. This guy made my head snap around the first time I heard him. I heard the distinctive voice of Elvis Presley and I was amazed.

  • Damn

  • also elvis said sing it fellas, listen, here doug says sing it, pay attention to detail. and you WILL know this is doug. GREAT work my friend, I.C.

  • doug is a long time friend of mine, i too am a tribute artist who performs ELVIS and his real life close friend TOM JONES, beleive it or not, this is dougs voice, check out the ending, watch closley, as elvis mouth closes on that last note, the voice still singing for about two seconds. doug is very close to the real thing, true there will only ever be one elvis, but doug does not, and never has claimed to be the king, just a tribute artist helping to keep his image alive/

  • Amazing!

  • almost the same but there's only one Elvis......

  • i can tell yo all right now that this is uncle doug.

  • INCREDIBLE!!!

    I'm Amazed!!!

  • Although I have never met Doug Church, as an Elvis tribute show producer I consider Doug to be the best E "singing" voice ever. No E tribute artist has ever achieved vocally what Doug Church has done. As for an E "talking" voice, the best I have ever heard is Bill Stiles.

  • i have the original lp vinyl of this show from 1973 with all the words and pics on the record sleeves

i must say you ar leading people to belive this is connected to elvis when in realty it is not and i have to admit it sounds exactly the same as my record does so im not convinced it is someone else either so can you tell us what software you used to delete elvise's voice and overwrite with someone else's voice then as i have not found any software capable of that yet

  • I am truly amazed at how many people have a hard time believing this IS Doug Church! I am sure Mr. Church would be equally amazed and honored. I will be happy to send you a copy of the Golden Voice track he used to sing this song in his concerts and to make the CD fron which I took this recording to put over the video. There is no miracle to this nor any trickery involved, this is the vocal talent of the VOICE OF ELVIS, Doug Church and the incredible musical talents of the people at Golden Voice

  • I am going to post this, hopefully once and for all, to all those who do not believe (or choose not to) that the vocals are indeed Doug Church. I took the audio from one of his CDs I purchased and tagged it on this video to prove a point: that Mr. Church has the CLOSEST voice to that of Elvis of all those in the ETA business! Mr. Church had no part in the making of this video (although he has expressed a certain "discomfort" with it through email).

  • It was created simply as a pure example of the FACT that no in the industry has the ability, as does Doug Church, to mimick, almost flawlessly, the beautiful singing voice of the greatest entertainer of our time. So, please, I implore you all to understand that this was not done out of disrespect for Elvis, nor to make Doug Church seem grandiose, but to demonstrate that he stands alone, atop all the other ETAs as the One and only TRUE Voice of Elvis!

  • @sukie1958 Well sukie it is indeed Doug Church. Check out his songs that are not Elvis songs and then decide.

  • I might add that I watched this live on TV when it happened in 1973. It would be hard to take out elvis's voice only and replace it with Doug Church and still make the whole arrangement sound live considering the unique acoustics of that venue. There is no doubt that Doug Church has the best voice going, I just don't buy that this is him.

  • FishRacer15, there are actually two compliments that you have paid here, one is to the incredible vocal talents of Doug Church (and this IS his voice you are hearing) and the second one is for the musical track created (in real time) by Golden Voice music. They recreated the entire Aloha from Hawaii concert for the ETAs and it is amazing to me how well they accomplished this feat.

  • This is definitely Doug Church singing, though (if you will notice at the end of the song, Mr. Church's voice continues the note after Elvis has stopped singing!). I bought his CD myself. I have seen and heard him many times and know what he can do. I'm sure there are many out there reading this who will vouch for the validity of this amazing rendition. Thank you again for such a lovely compliment to the great Doug Church, THE Voice of ELvis.

  • hi fishracer15 sorry but it is doug church singing if you listen to this then a version of elvis presley an american trilogy on youtube you will hear the diffrents :)

  • All you have to do is LISTEN to Elvis' version and then LISTEN to this version. It is definitely NOT Elvis. What it is, is the most incredible E T version that I have ever heard. I've watched a lot of Elvis Tribute artist in my day, and Doug Church is by far the BEST that I have ever heard. Again LISTEN CLOSELY you'll hear the difference.

  • This is the real Elvis. For anyone who has ever really watched and listened to him, you would know.

  • LOL fishracer15 , this is doug church , There is a notable difference , but not much , he's awesome.

  • amazing !!

  • great voice doug church!!!!

  • we all know it's doug singing but it just so fucking good that people are trying to find little difrence because they cant accept that someone else can and he does sing as good as elvis../p/s sorry 4 my english i am french speaking

  • dude, your a dick!!!

This is def not Elvis....Its Doug Church!

And as far as your "perfect pitch" see if this is on key.......ASSSSS HOLEEEEEE!

  • sorry its Doug Church at end of song Doug keeps singing note when Elvis stopped and if you were real Elvis fan even though its close you can its not Elvis

  • Doug did a good job with this. Very good.

  • You obviously need to find a new career. This is of course Doug Church singing....

  • Yep, it's Doug. Not Elvis.

  • i think they are doing a video tribute to elvis, just using dougs voice instead, it really is doug, i know it isnt Elvis, my husband is an ETA as well and we study Elvis' voice constantly lol. Doug is great, but I agree there are a lot of other great ETA's as well.

  • your site is very sparkling...would like to forward Elvis doing Baby I don't care...

  • I love Elvis, forward away :)

  • will do...if I can get past all your sparklies...

  • just check out Baby I don't care by Elvis. let me know what you think

  • AWESOME.....THIS GUY AS THE BEST 70s ELVIS VOICE OUT THERE TODAY ON THE ETA SCENE

  • UH, it really is not ELvis...awesome compliment to Doug that you think so! If you have a GREAT ear you can tell the difference, listen closely. It isn't Elvis, but a GREAT rendition of it

  • s3ro20 This IS NOT ELVIS, IT'S Doug Church and he's the best ETA that I have ever heard.

  • Hey I was kinda wondering why all the thumbs down for my comment that I made a couple of weeks ago. Did I offend someone?

  • My God!! This the best Elvis impersonator I've ever heard! This guy is amazing!

  • Yea,I would have to agree Elvisgirl,if I didn't know better I would say that was The King himself. Church nails this . this cat got so many cool vids. check out doug singing tears in heaven amazing

  • darkside, I so agree. He is the best. And Tears in Heaven made me cry.

  • People put thumbs down to your comment cuz they are being negative and want to put down Doug, I guess. It's stupid. Doug is a great talent, I will never understand haters, so I give you a thumbs up!

  • WOW!! I know that nobody will ever be as wonderful as the real Elvis, but.............this guy has some pipes!!! He is a brilliant singer, probably the best impersonator I've ever heard!! I give him major props!!

    WAY TO GO! GREAT JOB!!

  • He is good..But being a fan for over 40 years if you really have an ear for the real thing you can tell he is NO ELIVE but ver good impersonator.

  • I am 36 years old when i got married 18 years ago doug church performed at my wedding let me tell you everyone thought he was lip syncing until he sang let it be me while playing the guitar everyones mouthes dropped to the floor doug is the real deal and his voice is the closest there is to the one and only KING!

  • Thanks..Jesse does have great vocals :) I also enjoy Dwight, and think DC is great! None of them lipsynch..i dont know any ETA that does..but those 3 defintely have the goods and are constantly being accused of lipsyncing, which I always tell Jesse is a compliment, because it really is his voice. Doug should feel the same... at least I hope he doesnt pay attention to sh*t talkers :)

  • This really is his voice. High compliment that you think he overdubbed. Jealousy and pettiness.

  • the thing is there are many elvis impersonators who do very well with this time period, but the early Elvis is entirely another matter, stuff like Jailhouse Rock, That's All Right Mama, Good Rock'n Tonight etc..

  • Doug***

  • I could easily tell it was Dough Church before he even started.

  • unbloody believable, having witnessed it all,all i can say is TCB,god bless Elvis, god bless doug and god bless you guys 4 da post, absolutly gobsmacked(in a nice way)

  • Thanks for the info. I had to play both versions of "American Trilogy" from the DVD of the Aloha concert to be totally convinced. Good job -- and pretty amazing.

  • I became a bit obsessed with this and have now found another important difference which convinces me so I have to say I was wrong -- it's not Elvis. In the very early part of the Aloha video, in the rehearsal as well as the televised version, Elvis says, "Sing it, fellas." In this version he (must be Doug!) says only, "Sing it." So I cannot question it now. But I still would like to know how it was done with the original background singers and music (flute, too) and Doug Church's voice.

  • My husband and I passed along your messages to Mr. Church. He did, in fact, tell us to thank you for such a kind compliment. He is amazed that someone would so adamantly insist his singing was Elvis. He also explained to us that you can thank Ralph Foster at KING TRACKS for the music and background singers he recreated in real-time. All I know is that the audio from the CD of Doug's he gave us seemed to fit perfectly, amazingly enough. A tribute to Mr. Foster's expertise. Take care.

  • Send my "You're Welcome" to Doug Church. I will try to see him somewhere in the future as he's excellent. It wasn't so much that I questioned Doug's ability to sound like Elvis -- I questioned how it could be so perfectly synched with Elvis' lip movements in the video. Based on what you wrote, it seems like Doug must have recorded the audio CD in such a way as to perfectly match the exact music and background from the Aloha concert. It couldn't have happened so precisely by random chance.

  • Actually it was random chance that I was able to sync up his voice with Elvis'. Ralph Foster of King Tracks made an exact copy of the music and backup vocals which Mr. Church sang to. Apparently he knows the music so well after all this time that he was able to phrase his singing in time with Elvis' lip movements. Believe me, I was very impressed. My husband Bill and I have seen almost every one of Doug Church's shows and have seen nearly 500 other ETAs. We love the guys for doing what they do.

  • OK, I went back and checked the last few seconds and it is true that the voice seems to continue after a tiny bit after Elvis visually seems to be done singing. I still can't believe it, though, until you explain how you separated out the sound track from Elvis' voice and then added Doug's voice. The rest of the synching of the voice with Elvis' mouth in the video, as well as the sound of the voice, is too perfect to seem possible.

  • I am an ardent Elvis fan, thank you. How about explaining how you did this? Did you have the video sound track separate from Elvis' voice? It's impossible to get it so accurate unless Doug sat with you and lip-synched with the video. I have seen Doug's videos. He's a good tribute artist, but his voice is not identical to Elvis' and the timing to the original culd never be that precise by accident. You can ask Mr. Church to tell me and then I'll believe it.

  • It's the one and only Elvis, not Doug. Don't be fooled.

  • Hello Naomi2025,

I will pass along to Mr. Church the tremendous compliment you pay him. As I have been adamantly telling all of you, this IS Doug Church's voice, taken right from one of his CDs. Mr. Church's voice is unparalleled among ETAs but if you cannot tell the difference, you cannot be that much of an Elvis fan to begin with (no offense intended). Listen hard and watch the very end of the video and you will see Doug Church hold out the last note after Elvis has stopped singing...

  • This is Doug Church and it sounds so close to Elvis it is spooky real spooky

  • having heard doug on other videos on here i have to say that although he is bloody good, this is the real ELVIS,and in my humble opinion shaun klush is unbelievably amazing as well.(its just my opinion so dont diss me 4 it,ok)

  • Ant, as I told folks recently, the video IS Elvis but the VOICE is Doug Church. I took his voice directly from one of his own CDs and placed it over the video. As I am sure Mr. Church would appreciate the compliment, Shawn Klush cannot touch him vocally! No disrespect to Mr. Klush. God Bless.

  • if what you say is true(and i have no reason to doubt you)then doug church is the greatest sounding TA to Elvis

  • Yes, Ant, Mr. Church is by far the best sounding Elvis that my husband and I have ever encountered. We have seen more than 500 of them! So we consider ourselves experts on the matter. Thank you for your post. God bless and Merry Christmas.

  • This is Doug Church you friggin Muppets. You obviously have no clue what Elvis' voice sounds like, nor do you have any clue just how good Doug Church really is. Now go run your heads into the wall at full speed and see if it makes you any smarter.

  • this is really Elvis. Some stupid ass is trying to pass it off as Doug. Doug is awesome, but this is the real Elvis.

  • Umm...TaterKeg, the video IS Elvis but the VOICE is Doug Church. I took his voice directly from one of his own CDs and placed it over the video. As I am sure Mr. Church would appreciate the compliment you just paid him, I dont think I appreciate being called a "stupid ass". Happy Holidays.

  • Umm....this is Elvis. Not Doug.

  • Cant get enough of this guy he got the whole package

  • woow!!

  • DOUG CHURCH as the best 70s elvis sounding voice on the planet. no question about.

shawn klush maybe an incredible illussionist but doug has twice his weak voice.

    CHECK OUT DOUGS VIDEOS,

THERES NO COMPARISON BETWEEN THEM VOICE WISE.

    DOUGS AWESOME...

  • I just saw Shaun Klush. He has the mannerisms and the look and the TALKING voice down. When he's singing, he's got the TONE but his pitch and breathing are all over the place. As a singer, Doug Church has got him HANDS DOWN. I'm not an ETA but I am a singer and I admit that I anylyze music. Pitch is something I hear VERY well. Shaun would do well to use a pitch correcting device live as the big boys do. EP didn't need one though and neither does Doug Church.

  • nice try..only hes missing elvis' charisma on the stage... best ETA yet for me nothing comes close to the original ELVIS !!

  • ok.. cudos to Church for putting his voice over the video. As a fan since I was 6 nothing compares to the original. I enjoy watching all the tribute artists and I've come to the conclusion that Church and Klush and my favorites. I have to say that Klush has Elvis' mannerisms down and his voice is nearly perfect. Keep up the great work guys of keeping the spirit and memory of Elvis alive. Much love to you both.

  • SCARY!!! REALLY SCARY!!!

  • Doug is simply the best. Ask anyone is Vegas...

  • your both wrong shawn klush is the best ETA..

  • if you think shawn Klush sounds more like Elvis then Doug give me what your smoking I can understand being a Shawn fan thats fine but be realistic

  • Check out doug singing how great thou art acappela in my faves list....INCREDIBLE.

NOW ID LOVE TO SEE KLUSH DO THE SAME, HE'S NOT IN THE SAME LEAGUE VOICE WISE AT ALL.

    DOUG CHURCH IS UNBEATABLE !!!

    shawn klush, hahahaha...

  • Once again, Doug Church shows his amazing talent! No one but Doug could pull this off, he is truly The Voice of Elvis.

  • doug cinging elvis on video
