At all the comments wondering who "the man named Lear" is, I thought he meant "lire" which is read in French but that's just me being stupid. It was the first thing that came to mind when I heard it :-/

@1990MWB well never know unless I bump into Paul McCartney at some point itd be the first thing Id ask him but as its based on a novel by a man named Lear Im guessing that it is Edward cos as far as I know King Lear didnt leave a novel behind :)
